just wondering [non-anime source in AMVs?]

hey i am just wondering do all the music video thingys have to be anime or could i use other materials for my amvs it would some anime but i dont have a whole lot and dont want to download a whole bunch of stuff for my amv so would i be able to use real life videos and post it for my first amv

Videos that have no animé in them are no longer allowed to be entered into the catalog, and they were never allowed to be uploaded to the Donut.

But! If you, so to say, intertwine the occasional non-anime clip into an actual anime music vid, I don't think people will mind.

But, remember, that'll still have to be an actual AMV first and foremost to qualify.

well i havent made an amv yet but amm slowly learning how. So it can have just a little real stuff like say the transforming lycan in underworld would that be alright

and one more question what is the donut?

The Golden Donut is the Org's own dedicated AMV server. It's where all the LOCAL links lead. New members can't download videos from it until two weeks after they join, but anyone can upload their videos to it, as long as they follow the rules.

or is it just non animated, cause I intend on doing a lot of disney ones, and stuff like that. Would that still be aloud?

Firstly, "non-animé AMVs" is a contradiction in terms. It's where the A comes from, you know.

If I've read the rules correctly, then no, Disney wouldn't be allowed.

It's AnimeMusicVideos.org, after all (as others have said many times before in various places on this forum). Phade's trying to cut down on the number of non-animé videos listed and hosted here, and it's his prerogative.

If you've got a source and you don't know whether it counts as animé or not, it's probably safest to ask a moderator or an admin.

I wonder what an amv with dancing cows would be like
