Emotionally affecting you...
Have you seen amvs that will literally change your way of thinking/feeling?
Since this is the year of shit raining on my head, I look back at all my older amvs that I've made and collected and for some reason, after watching, I actually felt "better" than before... [don't know why] Feel the Rhythm affects me like this and then there's another...
Odorikuruu, I swear, if anyone who feels like he/she got crunched by a steamroller and that person watches this vid, if they didn't feel better, they might as well jump off a skyscraper...[just my opinion, shoot me ^_^]
I'm sure there are other vids that bring about different feelings as such...
Have any of you actually felt/thought differently after watching a certain video? Yours or others? I'm just curious, nothing more...

Yea, a lot of various amvs and mads tend to cheer me up when I'm not feeling so hot. Odorinkuru is definately one of them. Along with some like It's tricky to make a music video, cause im a blonde, who let the fros out, and probably a lot more that I can't really think of at the moment.
How's my new avatar by the way? I know it can't compare to the tree-hugger, but hopefully this one can get some lovin too

I've heard a lot about Odorikuruu, but despite my best efforts I've not been able to find a download anywhere for it...Know where I can find a copy?
As for videos that I've seen affect people, I've seen one of my own have that effect and numerous by others that have done so as well. My first video has gotten numerous comments about how it's brought back memories and a great deal of nostalgia for it's viewers.
Majin Koji's Souls and Shells is a great Eva vid I had the pleasure of opping that made me feel better about Shinji's character, one that I've traditionally hated with a passion.
Onizuka's Boys by Brakus is one that just all around makes me feel good for some reason I can't put my finger on, perhaps it's the nostalgic 80's song, or maybe the warm feeling I get when GTO reaches it's high points...
On the subject of GTO, Tom the Fish's There's No Need to Be Down is one to just kick back and laugh your ass off at, even if you're like me and not a fan of yaoi. Mokushi desu ne? is another good one to just sit back and enjoy.
A classic vid, Kevin Caldwell's Believe is rather interesting in it's emotional power, even in spite of the fact that I'm barely even passingly familiar with Battle Athletes.
Kai Strommler's Ganbarimashou! is an exercise in comedy to a song that I never would have thought of as comedic until I saw the video a few days ago. A couple others that are good for when I just need a laugh to brighten things up are Heero_Yuy84's La Federation and Studio Hybrid's Jinnai and the Bugrom.

Kusoyaro's With Every Light
"For everyone who never learned to give up hope."
Will always remain my #1 video. I just re-watched it for the first time in months and it once again moved me to tears.

I have a few.
dwchang's Glory of Love actually...moved me to tears the first time I saw it at Otakon 2003. I just thought it was such a beautiful song with fitting scenes (I've still never seen Escaflowne) and I was sitting there with my best friend/boyfriend. I just started crying.
While on the subject of romance, my own These Angel Hearts means an awful lot to me. To the rest of the world, it's a REALLY SLOW AMV portraying a nonexistant romance (Kaworu and Rei from NGE if you can believe it). But it means a lot more to me on a more personal sense. The whole vid, from the subtle little actions to the song used to even the premiere date, is in reality a massive inside...well "joke" isn't really an appropriate word now that I think about it. I feel such an incredible range of emotions from watching it and it changes from viewing to viewing.
And I hate to say this (because it's just so dang popular) but I really really really do like Euphoria. I finally saw it for myself less then a week ago and I was taken completely by surprise by it. I was expecting a dark depressing drama to a dark depressing song. And as I was watching it, my eyes and ears just went nuts. I fell in love with the song after the first chorus and the flighty dream theme just gave me chills. I know what I like...I can't help it if everyone else likes it too.
I cry very easily at movies anyway. I was bawling buckets when I watched the end of "The King and I," when E.T. dies (yeah yeah I know), the ending of "It's a Wonderful Life," "Return of the King." I'm just mushy and sentimental that way.

I think that counts. Imagine, Rei, Beyond Her Heart, Mad World, and Memories Dance have all impacted me emotionally. As for my own, my most recent one did at one point.

Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

Why not? Just because you made it doesn't mean it can't catch you by surprise and move you. I've sniffed making my own too (especially the ending as silly as that may seem).Beowulf wrote:I've never cried watching a music video, but I have sniffled once making one of my own.
That doesn't really count though does it

This is an interesting post, since a lot of videos have affected me.
The first one that I think hit me the hardest was Misty Caldwell's How Do You Let Him Go. When I first saw it, I was at the Otakon pre-screenings and I just started crying. I'm not entirely sure why, but it was just so amazing that it really did touch me.
Tenjou's Roseate Nocturne is another way that changed my way of thinking. I didn't like Utena as much as I do now and I didn't want to finish the series. However, after seeing it, I watched the entire thing and it now stands as my favorite anime to date.
The last one I'm going to mention is SarahtheBoring's Dance of Wind and Rain, since it's just such a great video. A lot of the Utena videos out now are just so depressing or way too romantic. I liked how it took a different spin on the Utena movie and made Utena and Anthy's relationship very light and a bit fluffy. Overall it's one of my favorite videos ^_^
