The little kids that watch this Bastardized Anime probebly think that the Anime is American because they take out all of the japanese references, such as the Tokyo Tower and they take out all the japanese symbols and put american words in there. when they are done with it the series has absolutly nothing to do with japan.

Especially to get rid of those puns that don't translate well: "Pickle? I thought you said baseball card."Sousaphonist wrote: Anyway, localization is not necessarily a Bad Thing.

Hmm, I'm starting to get the idea that 4Kids is just trying to keep everything pretty basic with what they distribute to the kids. To some people, anime is a stepping stone to learning new things about a totally different culture from their own. Basically, these people are actually learning something. I guess 4Kids doesn't want to be held responsealbe for doing that. "Wow! This cartoon is so cool! The giant robots, the fighting, the tea ceremonies, the ancient history of a far East Asian country, the...hey. Wait a minute. Oh my God! I'm learning something! Good damn you 4Kids!"
Probably too busy to be here right now.
