In Paint.

It's not that hard -- you just need to know what a waveform looks like. Draw a few images and loop them.
Simplicity wins in this case but for more complex animations I recommend my post above. I believe in the video Visionary near the end that those overlays were captures of Windows Media Player's visualizations to give an idea of what it looks like to do this.

I think Magix is better and worse than Premiere. Magix has a better interface, but Premiere has an easy way of adding effects.

The ultimate choice is up to you though.

Hey Trythil... I have a question though... I create a LOT of my mattes on Photo shop... like you said not that hard...
But there are two things I haven't been able to figure out that koop did on Euphoria! One... he made that mattes move up and down (easy...) but he also made them go in circles ! How dide see do that? and two... in a few of the shots he made a center ring expand (it didn't look like it was don't my motion: zoom... if it was... he makes it a lot clearer than I do)
And what Magix program are you guys reffering to? Is there a trial version? (I went to Magix.com and found no trial version for the video edit program)

I'm not sure exactly what version, but he told me he uses Magix Music Maker a while back just after his video "Through Time, Through Space".

Hey :!: I was watching Euphoria :D and I got to thinking :?: ...

Those effects were cool! 8) I was thinking about copying them  but instead I decided to experiment on my own

I figure that it'll be more rewarding and beneficial :) Why do the same thing someone else already did when I can do something I want to on my own :?: :?

I don't know about how he did it in Magix since I use don't use that but I do know in Premiere you can do both these effects with the transform filter and keyframing.

Rozard... I agree that we should be original! I would never try to Duplicate what he did and insert it into my video! However... I used to wonder how people were able to make it where ther was one scene playing... and then one scene in the center in a box form... OHHH I C, Mattes! I used to wonder how people faded from one scene to the next... OHHH I C, Rubber bands! I learmed these things from trial and error! however Just because I liked those affects and admired them, doesn't mean I was going to use them in the same way... same song... etc... it just means that it is and exercise! If I learned how to do those effects that koob did, I would be able to do it in different was... manipulate them... and combine them with different effects where it would once again be original! just because you use an effect someone else used... doesn't make it unoriginal... just as long as I don't recreate the whole scene with same content... I could keep going on about this... but I'm sure you got the point!

Oh, and BTW...
Please don't get me wrong... doing what he did does take a lot of imagination... timing and feeling! But those are the factors that make his video wonderful and original!
