SONG?! END OF EVA SCENE

Post by Daio Kaji » Wed Feb 11, 2004 1:54 am

there's a really weird yet beautiful song that plays in the evangelion movie 'End of Evangelion'
it plays in Episode 26 exactly when Shinji takes some initiative and chokes the **** out of Asuka, the song plays for a long time and gets louder as the scenes progress

i've searched the credits at the end and done searches on the web and on p2p networks, but all i've gotten is that the band is possibly called 'Thantos' and that's about it for the most part

i'd really appreciate it if anyone could tell me the name of that song, i'm sure i could get the soundtrack to EoE but without paying 30 bucks for a cd, i'd like to find what the song is first

or else i will just have to call it 'The Instrumentality Theme' lol

If you mean the song that plays during Third Impact, that would be Komm Susser Tod - I may have spelled it wrong, though.

i'll try searching for that, thnx a lot
and yes, i don't think there is any kind of confusion in what song i'm talking about, but actually, there are a lot of songs that play during Third Impact, some play in the real world, others play in Shinji's head

but i think we're talking about the same one, it's the first one that plays once shinji chokes asuka and goes into his subconscience and flush of memories

thnx again

Well, only in that the U is missing an umlaut. :)

Great song, even if it has THE most depressing, suicidal lyrics ever.

Other than that, don't know.

The best way I have heard that song described is "The Happy Song of Death". And I say it's pretty close too. It's a really good song. It's just a pity that the last 5 minutes of the song is exactly the same.

yeah thats what its originaly called. translated its called "oh sweet death" or something along thoughs lines. though of your looking for it on something like kazaa , search for "turn back time" (not the aqua version). oh and the song goes for about 7minutes,23 seconds or somewhere around that

Well, the full OST has at least five or six different versions, but the primary one that's on my 'Best of Eva' playlist is a few seconds shy of eight minutes.
