blocks on my amv

Post by Cronos882 » Wed Feb 11, 2004 3:16 pm

I'm having the same problems with the "jitters" in my completed amv. I also have AviSynth but I'm a total n00b with it. Can someone provide a link or a script on how to remove these blocks from my frames?

Are you using downloaded footage or the DVDs? From the screencap, that's downloaded anime, and it's the files problem, not your computer. If the file was encoded wrong, then it stays that way unless you encode a different version of the same thing (must be from a DVD or something, like TV or VHS) No matter how hard you try, it's always gonna be there, unless you encode it from the DVD, VHS or TV yourself.

There should be a way to get rid of the blocks using avisynth though, the problem is that I'm a noob with avisynth so I don't know how to do it. (I read the guide, etc, but it just confused the hell outta me I'm hoping someone knows the exact instructions/script on how to get rid of these blocks). I exported an uncompressed avi file of my video if that helps (also used TMPGenc to make a mpg file of the video).

Is the footage from a DVD or a download ep of something (I think it's downloaded)?

Sorry for double post, but...

If it's a downloaded episode: you're screwed
If it's from a DVD: there is help, I just don't know the AVS script or what you could do...

That's Naruto, and far enough in the series that I doubt the DVD is out anywhere.
