This is a Holy War, like AMD vs Intel, or vi vs Emacs. It will never end. Ever.

There's a dub vs. sub post every month...usually courtesy of newbies (not that I should talk, cuz I haven't been around too long myself). But it's not THAT big a deal. The org isn't going to shrivel up as a result of it. If someone doesn't care about these kinds of threads they just shouldn't post in them.

The whole point of this is to see if some of you people would buy the DVD or not. This was NEVER meant to be a sub vs. dub thread. If this type of thing keeps up, I'm going to ask the mods to lock it. :?

If you think a thread is stupid, why post in it?
Yeah, I know, it is kind of pointless. Sorry about that. :P I'm just really tired of seeing the exact same fight over and over. It's not like everybody is going to suddenly agree to watch one or the other and skip off into the distance holding hands. ;)

It's a matter of opinion, and with DVDs having both versions, everybody gets what they want. It's kind of a non-issue. Yet people keep bickering over it, constantly.

Eh, anyway. I posted out of irritation, and there was no point to it, so I'll back off.

We'll keep it on that, then.

We all need to watch more Anime. But the chances of coming across a dub that I like is still slim.

Watch any anime dubbed by Coastal Carolina Studios, Clamp anime dubbed by Bang Zoom! Entertainment, FLCL, Full Metal Panic, and RahXephon. That's all I could think up of for now.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned this yet, I am tired and I am not going to read four pages of discussion, but I prefer both dub and sub. I like watching most anime in dub, but if it is not available I'll watch it subbed. I like watching subs when there is a deeper meaning to the story, but there are two animes that I absolutly hate the subbed versions. Cowboy Bebop and Trigun. Vash's voice dubbed fits the character PERFECTLY, while the sub leaves something left top be desired. just me of course :P
Look at me! Look at me! I posted in WOT so I must be evil!!! [/sarcasm]

Maybe if I'd actually seen the shows these actors did the voices for...

I've only seen the samba episode of Bebop subbed, but I've seen almost all of Trigun Both Dubbed and subbed, and I learned that it's important to watch an anime both ways to catch everything sometimes. Or if you have it on DVD, just watch it dubbed with subtitles, so you catch everything.
You're lucky... I've decided to let you live to see the day when I will rule the world.
