Komm Susser Todd is an awsome song. Quite beautifully depressing.

Thanatos & Thanatos If I Can't Be Yours are great too :D :D

exartly! those two songs were the only two that i could find during my entire search for Komm Susser Tod, probably cause i kept typing in 'Thanatos' for the search, lol
... well those and regular eva songs cause i would type in 'eva' too and get theme songs, remixed theme songs... background music used in show

but Komm Susser Tod is the best one of all, simply emboding evangelion with it's very nature...  sweeet
If you're reading this, you've gone too far...PREPARE FOR RETRIBUTION!!

another song (well BGM) i like from Eva is the music that plays when shinji is inside unit 01 and the ghostly figure of his mum puts her hand on his face and Shinji goes all naked. It plays in the movie too i beleive and is the background music to the "trailer" by manga.

Also, "The Beast" is a great piece of music (i can play the guitar riff ^_^ )

i think that track is called 'Mother, the first other' . i dunno, someone with the S2 works should be able to clarify that.....

KST, good tune...... maybe i should try that Hey Jude thing at the end, could make some crazy remix......... or it could just sound crap.........

Nah, as much as i like KST, i still prefer the more classical pieces in evangelion Ode to Joy, Pachebell's Kanon, Air on a G-String........(snicker)

very childish........................

wow....depressing....a song of death!!!

i always thought it was a happy song of moving on with life!! no actually looking at the lyrics, it of suicide.........gah!!

but its still a beautiful song and i knew i had heard that ending before "hey jude"

what a real mind**** Eva is!!! anybody know the suicide rate of the year it was released or even the number of "loony bin" commitals.

I'd love to, but the sleevenotes are in Japanese and I have no idea what it all says -_-

And yes, the classical tracks are great.

Evangelion has so many breathtakingly superb songs in its catolouge.... such great stuff. Speaking of guitar, I can play Misato's theme riff on guitar (transposed off of piano tab) it's an awsome riff!

I'd like to point out another version of kom süsser tod out there.. in the new jap "Revival of evangelion" CD they took the "best" tracks from all of eva & digitally remastered them. its 7:56 or so on this cd, with slightly better sound, but some irritating singing from the musicians on the last part, supose they really digg the song, like the rest of us 8)

All in all, the version on the End of Eva OST is the best one imo, and its also the same thats in the movie. Wonderful to listen to that scene in 5.1

That song makes me laugh; but not because I don't like it.

It's because of how much it reminds me of Genesis' 'Counting Out Time'; and, it is pretty well exact note for note besides the chorus.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
