No shame in that. I collect Yu-Gi-Oh! cards too. Of course with not much money, I couldn't make a tornament-worthy deck. I'm trying to create an XYZ-cannon deck.

 Good luck on that one. But, as a hint of advice, look at flea markets and/or E-Bay for most of your Yu-Gi-Oh! needs. Also, if you show some sorta interest in becoming a duelist at dueling areas you might be lucky enough as to meet someone with extras that they just don't want anymore (if your a sexy young female, you have a greater chance). This Saturday, I got three Troop Dragons cards for my dragon deck for giving someone enough money to buy a pack of cards. Good luck and happy card hunting.
Also, always remember, the best duelist love to train the 'hopefuls' and turn their backs on the 'hopeless'.

E-bay? How do I know they're not counterfeits? Anyways, if the XYZ deck doesn't work, I can always make a decent Light-type deck.

Check for a picture of the card before you decide to order/bid on it. It must have all of the following:
1) the copyright at the bottom-righthand corner of the card
2) the shiney stiker thingy at the bottom-righthand corner of the card
3) the appropriate look of the normal cards (you'll know if you come across any fakes)
4) the coding, in the space between the pic and the description, telling you what series it came from
That should be all, folks.
