How many people follow by scores?

Sometimes if a creator gets my attention or something (like I see someone post in the forum and i think "I wonder what sort of vids this person has made"), I might go and look at the vids in his profile, and then I'll generally look at the scores to determine if I wanna download or not. Also every now and then I'll go searching for random videos using certain anime or whatever... those are the only times when I really look at the scores.

If I'm downloading for myself, then I probably won't even notice the scores - I tend to go by anime and vid description. Nothing else matters to me when I'm looking for something to watch.
If I'm downloading to make a review, or out of obligation, then I'll glance at the score and reviews before making my own - I like to know what other people thought before I watch the vid so I can compare it to my own take. But the scores still don't influence whether I download or not.
To me, scores are only good for those who want new members to find the vids on the top lists. Otherwise, those interested in the video will probably get it because of anime, song, and/or the vid description - and maybe video format since some of us hate rm and qt (separate players).
Those who download based on scores rather than the promise in the vid description are probably not downloading for the same reasons as myself, so I have no idea what they're thinking. Maybe they figure "if enough people don't like you and your vid, then I won't either." In which case, I'd rather they not download my amvs to begin with.

I go both ways, and I'll usually go out of my way to grab a new vid with no scores every once in a while.
Generally, when I'm looking for a video on particular anime/songs, I don't look at scores.
But when I want to see what the 'big ones' are worth, yea, I'll go to the top 10% and check out what they gots to offer.

I don't think I've ever downloaded a vid because of high scores. Usually it's like most have said..anime and/or song combo..or maybe the creator had posted something somewhere that made me want to see what vids he/she has made.
The #1 thing that will 9 times out of 10 cause me to NOT download a vid (unless it was reccomended to me) is not having a vid description at all or having one that says "THIS VID RULZZZSS!!11" something along that line. If you took the time to put some effort into making the vid..then to me..you'll take time to at least write 3-4 legible sentences to breifly tell someone what the vids about.

i look as the scores but it doesnt affect whether im gonna download it or not... for me, i guess, i like watching any AMV good and not good ones.. coz seing whats good and whats bad helps me think about how my AMV is gonna be to make it better... but hey! the bad AMVs are still interesting to watch.

That actually makes me more curious to download it.ladydx wrote:The #1 thing that will 9 times out of 10 cause me to NOT download a vid (unless it was reccomended to me) is not having a vid description at all or having one that says "THIS VID RULZZZSS!!11" something along that line.

In most cases I just download out of interest if I want to see how the anime and music would work. However, if I am just doing a general search for something like Final Fantasy action videos, I come up with a lot of results, and in most cases, they are pretty bad, so I just use the scores to try to find some of the better ones.
