Nande korewa?

Am I not allowed to post? ;_; j/k

Man what is it with everyone overestimating my popularity ;). First I'm a "King" and now I'm a God. Bleh I say. I'm just me and I make videos that some of you (fools hahahaha!) like ;).

Yes that is your opinion, but again it was stated in a semi-flamatory manner. As I said earlier, we should try and focus on the positives of the contest since it's SUPPOSED TO BE fun. We can argue about the results till well...the next VCA, but A) it wouldn't be fun, B) it wouldn't change the results and C) it's still insulting to those who won.

Again you're entitled to your opinion, but as many mothers have said "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all."
Fungie½ wrote:Seriously though, I don't think the results were very good. It was very much a popularity thing in my opinion. The only one I agreed with was "The World She Knows" getting Best Character Profile, since it is a very good video. Besides that, meh.
You could've easiliy just said "The only one I agreed with was "The World She Knows." It was a good video. Why go further? Am I honestly that upset or insulted? No. Then why post? Because it's still mean and inconsiderate to ALL the winners.

To insult people? :-?

Again, I by no means am trying to be a nazi and censor things, but I still think we should be a little more positive and constructive then calling videos "meh" and so on. The VCAs were meant to be a positive experience for the community and *fun* and doing such things hardly does either. Again, he's entitled to his opinion, I'm just making a suggestion.

I don't think he said anything particularly harming. He said he only agreed with one result, he didn't say the others were crap. Yes, he used "meh." I don't think he did any permanent harm to any creators... if you're saying he needs to be more constructive, I don't see why. All of these videos are generally highly regarded and have received lots of criticism, both positive and negative.

He wanted to state his opinion, which wasn't quite like other people's. I think it would be ridiculous only to allow positive responses if people felt anything other than positive reactions. I understand your concerns about this being about fun and all, but responses like his are hardly detracting from the joyride some creators are now experiencing. :? Even if they don't want the joyride.

Oh, I'm sorry. Next time I disagree with the results, I'll do a step-by-step analysis of each video and why I didn't think it should've won.

To me, that would hurt even more!

If you'd like a long, indepth description of why I didn't vote for you, feel free to IM me. I'm not putting people's buisness out there. That's not me. The last time I put my opinions up, they were nicely shot down. I'm not letting that happen anymore.

Congratulations to the winners. There's no doubt that a large group of people loved you and your videos. I'm just not a fan. Gomen ^_^;

At the same time, could he not have contacted the people in person instead of posting or making slightly derogatory comments (I'm not at all claiming he's flaming anyone or that he hates anyone).

Perhaps I'm being optimistic, but I'd rather we kept it "fun and good," but in turn will respect his opinion and his *right* to post as he chooses. 'twas just a suggestion.

And again, don't misunderstand. My feelings aren't hurt or anything Fungie. I just know of a few creators who are bit more sensitive to criticism and still try to look on the positive side of things (this is a strange thing given how I usually am >_>).

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not upset or anything. I just kind of find it odd since I don't see why people say "popular" or "God-like" and expect me not to post ;). It's not like *that* much has changed in the last year. I'd like to think my forum habits are the same as when I was "unknown" or whatever. Actually scratch that, I've been busier at work and don't post that much, but you get my drift...I hope ;).

Honestly, I don't think Fungie's comments were that bad or as Flint said, particularly harmful. He mentioned that none of the videos that he voted for won, so why would he say that the winners were the best or even that great?

If he has higher standards than the majority of the people that voted, then that is his right as is his right to express himself. He didn't single out any one person. He didn't outright flame anyone. He didn't even sinisterly imply anything. If the VCA winners whose videos he referred to really did take offense, then why not let them speak up for themselves? And if they didn't take offense, why must some of you make such a big deal out of it?

Personally, I think it'd be more offensive to e-mail the creators separately just to tell them that their winning videos weren't that great than just a brief public mention on a forum.

Well, just thought I'd speak up.
My favorite video: Grilled Steak Trigun I LOVE THE COPS! Rargh!
I ain't 2 proud 2 beg! haha school rumble is great
Why do I always have the most preposterous sigs???
My current favorite thread. I'm a huge fan of GA-JAMMING.
