exporting

Post by yamyy » Sun Feb 29, 2004 3:53 am

I don`t know if somebody has already asked it and please forgive me, if somebody has it done, but I looked on previous pages and I didn`t notice any topic that has a question about exporting in premiere.

Well my problem is that:
I want to export my amv from my premiere, but the problem is, that the only codec, that makes my amv-s quality good.. makes the file 700 mb(!!) big.. I realised that the problem is, that this codec dosen`t compress music. And when I have this codec that compresses music, then the quality .. is .. well lets just say it sucks.. big time.
Can somebody please help me? cause I feel that I don`t know what to do. When I put this 700MB big file here in a-m-v.org, then I belive nobody will atch it, because it`s toooo big.
I have heard, that it is possible to add some codecs into premiere, but I don`t know if that`s a rumor or not.

So I would be super happy if someone would be able to help me :)

Ideally you should export your video from Premiere without audio either uncompressed or using the Huffyuv codec. Then take the resulting ~ 1 Gb file to VirtualDub or TMPGEnc, compress and add audio. Read the guides from here onwards.

Don't worry about the file size, that's about right. After you're done it'll be in the 30-50mb range, probably.

About the codecs, if you have the AMVapp then you should already have what you need. Just follow the guides and it'll all start to make sense.
