I think Squaresoft has a contract dealing with the Playstation2 peeps, And it probably will because after all it's original console was the Playstation... the controls would be the same

FF7 on anything BUT Playstation = ackward. They DID release a PC version of FF7, but it wasn't much different, just a little shading here and there. The remake will undoubtedly be on the PS2, if there will be such a thing. I don't know this sawihee, but I'm trusting that they wouldn't take such an important topic too lightly.

The movie itself is going to make me cry. A lot. I cried when I saw the first trailer, I cried for this one, and I'll probably cry when I bootle-buy my legal copy of the japanese film, and eventually the american version.

We also didn't get Viewtiful Joe, Sonic Adventure DX, Dead or Alive Volleyball (ok, scratch that one), and Panzer Dragoon Orta. I thought that Squaresoft scrapped their plans for re-making FF7 anyway. I read it somewhere on rpgamer.com.

It says at the end of the trailer. Summer 2004.

My bet is that's the release date for it in Japan though.
