So uh, what happened to Astro Boy?
I'm just curious as to what happened to the Astro Boy series that was on Kids WB? Liked it a little bit, but it didn't stand out as something I was desperate to watch. Is it just on a broadcast hiatus, or did nobody else watch it and Kids WB decided to pull the plug on it?
Probably too busy to be here right now.

According to this article the new Astro Boy is on the WB (that's not Toonami, is it?). And these are new episodes, not the original ones from the Sixties.
The Right Stuf released the original TV series on VHS several years ago. It's still for sale, but not on DVD.
The manga - I believe Tezuka wrote these starting back in the late Fifties - is available in small paperback form at Borders, Barnes & Noble, and elsewhere.

Australian, Some kind of cat-girl, Digi Charat avatar... NekoClown!! *huggles* If you get Foxtel or similar try Cartoon Network. I think it starts late this month. Although personally I wouldn't waste my time with it.~nekoa nya~ wrote:ga, are you's in america or sumwhere? bugger man, im down here in australia. we miss out on soo many things down here lol

OK, for you Aussie's, here's an article from the Sydney Herald about the upcoming Astro Boy movie. The article is about a year old:

IMdB.com says the movie won't be out until 2005.

It's a pretty good show, in my opinion. But I can't compare it to the other versions of Astro Boy, having not seen/read them.IamSano wrote:Yeah, I also heard Astro Boy was coming to Toonami. Is it a good show, like worth watching? It seems like it would be stupid.
