MARTA, it's smarta! And yes, that was the official slogan at one point in time.
A fair amount of people are arriving Thursday afternoon/evening so why don't we see about going to a resturant Thursday night? We can plan something later during the con so more people can join in but a Thursday gathering won't have any rushes of either schedules or hungry fanboys. The Ruby Tuesday next door should be open enough or if we can gather enough cars we could go further out toward a preferred resturant. There's a nice Japanese resturant about 15 minutes from the hotel (table cooking or whatever that is called and a sushi bar). It is inside a large shopping pavillion so I'm sure we can find enough empty parking spaces for some of the more robust vehicles being mentioned.

Sounds good to me. I love the resturants where they cook the food infront of you. So much action! A bit of advice, though: Don't sit at a table if the chef has Band-Aids and missing fingersRed Wolf wrote:The Ruby Tuesday next door should be open enough or if we can gather enough cars we could go further out toward a preferred resturant. The Japanese place is called Kiku (I don't know if that is a national chain or not, I hadn't heard of them before). The Benihana resturants around here are seemingly going downhill these days but it is the same style of resturant. Kiku is also only a few months old and in the nicest suburb in south metro Atlanta so it should be a lot more plesant enviroment than the airport area.
Would there be enough people willing to leave the con for a few hours on Friday or Saturday night to do the resturant then? If so we may want to save the Japanese place for a larger crowd and go for a different place Thursday (or do a picnic at the hotel as has been suggested before). I'll contact the resturant and see what they can do about handling a crowd.
