AUNMV video release: "Sexy body cowgirls"

Post by - bakadeshi - » Wed Mar 10, 2004 11:37 pm

Finally finished this video to the best of my current ability. There are a few tiny quirks that I wish I knew how to fix in premiere that is outlined in the technical notes for the video, but they are tiny and shouldn't interfare with the enjoyment of the video.

The reason for the Post, is this is my first *real* attempt at any serious lipsyncing, and also my first Video in this style (comedy/parody nature.)
This took alot of work to finish, (did it in about a span of 3 weeks, probably around 60 or more hours total) and I think it came out pretty good all things considered. However, since my experience is limited, Constructive criticsm wanted and appreciated ^^

The Video basically portrays Spike as a "pimp" talking about all the sexy body girls in cowboy beepop. Vash raps to the Eminem part at the intro, and makes little apearances throught the video. See my video description for all the technical notes on my editing.

I hope you enjoy.

WMP9 claims I need the 3iv2 codec, which I assume is some form of 3ivX. ffdshow doesn't seem to be able to play it.

At 1:27, you can see vertical lines on either side of Spike's mouth.

In general, the lip synching could have been improved.

However, it was still an enjoyable video. For some reason, the editing style for a good part of the middle reminded me of "Tainted Donuts", even though there was no crossing over involved. Good job with the static effects in the beginning, too.

Yes I tried to no evail to get rid of those lines... seems to show up when I try to overlay video ontop of video, which I did only because of the nature of the footage. Maybe I should try using stills instead, although for 1 of the 2 scenes I would have to output each frame because of the smoke around him.

And yes the codec is 3ivx, seemed to be the best quality to compression ratio of all the ones I tried. I thought the Divx codec decodes it though. Guess I was wrong.

thanks for the feedback so far ^^
