1) what player do you use?

2) have you considered downloading codecs, such as DivX?
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Real player is the devil. I hate realone.

Anyway, you might want to try downloading a current version of the .Media Player, it has support for lots of different formats.

Additionally you should probably look into Divx and Xvid found here.
Those three things should solve your problems

If RealOne is the devil, I'd hate to see what WMP9 is

Mostly I hate the services that realone tries to install to the startup sequence. And those pop ups that like to kill your programs.
A close second. I'd say it's a lesser of evils. On the other hand.. it does work. So if someone isn't real shall we say 'into' the ultimate players and operating sytem upgrades it's an easy solution.

I have Windows Media Player 9, Real One Player, about a bazillion codecs, both newly updated, and neither will work when I try to play any video, at all. I waited two weeks for even more errors to arrive. Gah. I don't know what's the matter-- it just says “You've encountered error message C00D11CD while using Windows Media Player,” etc.

C00D11CD thing is some unidentified error. I'm stumped.
