not to be an ass or anything, but asking someone to download special players and codecs to see your (first) video is a bit much. esp. where some people, like me, are on linux or something similar that doesn't neccessarily have support for those players at all.
now, for the helpful part:
you, too, can make standard, widely viewable videos with these free tools:
Windows:
Windows Movie Maker 2 (download for free, XP only, though)
VirtualDub (also free, more powerful, too)
Linux:
Cinelerra
AviDemux
Mac:
iMovie
all of these can do normal formats (the Windows Movie Maker isn't terrible flexible in its non-wma options, but those are pretty widely playable, too, now.
You might be able to just convert the file over to a new format if you find the right tool, thus not having to redo the project, it just seems a shame to turn people away because of software compatability issues.
