Now if only Einstien or Hawkins had thought of that!!Arigatomyna wrote:Ah, but remember, Hiei doesn't need oxygen around him to use his fire - he 'imports' it or 'summons' it from the Makai - hence the pillars of black when he summons the dragon - the oxygen necessary to use it is drawn with the flame (the reason it's black is that it burns off the Makai atmosphere - so it *must* take that mix with it if it stays black once it reaches the human world), and once it reaches Hiei, it feeds off him (his youki). Plus! Even if the flame did die out in space (after eating all his youki) - it only takes one hit to burst Vegeta's shield - and then we're right back to whether or not Vegeta is resistant to 'black' flame when it comes mixed with youki and in the shape of a giant dragon. ;p)v(ajin Koji wrote:Aww, crap. Oh well, this does give an opportunity for Vegeta to bea Hiei though - IF IF IF he uses that shield mentioned earlier, because Hiei wouldn't beable to use the fire in space because of a lack of oxygen.
But it's just getting fun...Oh, God I just don't care anymore.

yeh, and even in this, dbz almost wasn't consistant, when Goku recovers from his first encounter with Frieza, he comes back and finds a dieing Vegeta, when he blasts that whole in the ground, he uses his eyes, they weren't eye beams, but MAAAN if looks could kill...)v(ajin Koji wrote:That's because good guys think it's more honorable to use hands etc, e.g. Piccolo uses eye beams at the beginning of DBZ but never again...Daio Kaji wrote:also, in dbz, evil people also have the ability to shoot beams out of their mouths, good guys use their hands and/or stomachs/bodies (goku in Cooler's Revenge)
i'm sure einstein had his own theories on this... but he was CENSORED, CEEEENSORRRED!!!

*slaps his forehead* That theory about oxygen being necessary to light the fire was invented by cavemen!

Hm...not sure if this is a joke or a statement or even whether it's an agreement or a jab. I'll do my usual rebuttal anyway. ;pbote wrote:*slaps his forehead* That theory about oxygen being necessary to light the fire was invented by cavemen!
Fire can't 'light' in the absence of oxygen. If you take a tank of gasoline (highly burnable) and stick a flamethrower inside that tank so that the gasoline surrounds it - and then try to 'light' it. The fire won't catch. For a fire you need something to burn and oxygen. It's the gasoline fumes that spark most fires, not the liquid itself (which is why those fires burn on top and not through the liquid). In a normal situation - like space, or the inside of a gasoline tank, no spark will catch (no oxygen) so it won't happen. The only explosions in space are when some burnable gases ignite - and even then they tend to implode from the pressure and burn themselves out (eating up whatever pocket of air there is until the fire can't 'live' anymore).
But this is anime - the fire in question wouldn't be *starting* in space - it never does in the anime (meaning it doesn't start where Hiei is). It starts in the Makai, travels into whatever world he's at (the black pilars when he's in the human 'upper' world) and then feeds off itself and his youki. That doesn't defy physics (the rules we follow when it comes to fire) because the flame itself carries with it an oxygen source - all that's left is the 'fuel' to keep it burning - and that comes in the form of Hiei's youki. Just think of his youki as gasoline fumes - that provides the fuel once the spark catches enough oxygen to become flame. And since Hiei can continue calling black flame (complete with its own Makai mix as the oxygen source), it will continue to burn until the fuel gives out (his youki) or he runs out of things to burn (other people, clothing, anything flamable).

let the madness end!!
i dont think Vegeta would blow up a planet to kill his opponent. unless it was his evil self back when Vegeta fought Goku. cause in the later series he always keeps wanting to fight a strong opponent. especialy if we talk about the later series when Vegeta fought Cell and Buu and Bojack. Vegeta also claims that the earth is his home in GT so i dont think Vegeta would blow up the planet to secure a victory. now on the other hand maybe a stadium ring remember Majin Vegeta's attack on the audience. Hiei could also blow up a stage ring as well via Black Dragon Wave. i think Hiei and Yusuke mentioned they would blow up the entire stadium if needed to win. so there Vegeta wont blow up a planet to kill his opponent since he likes to live on earth. now if it were a different planet that may be different. earth i think is out of the question. now lets just drop this silly plothole crap and get on with the basics. if your gonna continue this thread at least talk about how Hiei and Vegeta might win sensibly(SP) not trying to figure out a plothole so Vegeta could win that takes up 9 pages. obviously were not talking about which Vegeta. the Vegeta that fought Goku on earth. really evil or Majin Vegeta really evil but wont blow up a planet(im guessing he never said he would during that part of the seires). or just good Vegeta at the end of the series. this thread has been going on for two weeks so far can we at least get to a conclusion!!

Hmmm....I really haven't seen anything w/ Heie or Vegeta that hasn't been shown on AS, so I don't know how powerful they ultimately end up being at the end of each their respective series, so I don't know how to vote, but it seemed to me that Vegeta has always been near omni-powerful since the beginning of his life, so he's the one that has my vote for now...Bebop0083 wrote:i dont think you want to its madness i tell you madness!! but yah diffently Hiei.Karou_ken wrote:Hiei would win 8)

another thing i like to note that when ever Vegeta is fighting an opponent he always gets smacked around by the main villian. we have alot of evidence. Saiyan saga. Goku beats him. Freeza saga. he gets killed by Freeza and beaten the crap out of. Android saga. 18 beats him. Cell saga. Cell kicks the crap out of him. Buu saga. Buu kicks his ass. Kid Buu saga. Kid Buu kicks his ass. movie 8 Broly gives ass whopin. movie 9 Bojack beats him. movie 12 Janemba beats him. movie 13 he gets bitch slaped by Hildgarn. so if Vegeta fights hes gonna lose.
