Thanks for the explanation, Ariga! ^_~ I guess it would be harder to choose a victor if I could watch Hakusho beyond the Dark Tournament...(Gah, CN is frustrating!) ..so I'm comparing just what I've seen, which would be Hiei as a B class demon and SSJ2 Vegeta in the Buu arc of DBZ...hmmm, so I guess that I wouldn't have the most reasonable hypothesis, which is rare and frustrating for me...
Oh well, at least I'm learning here!

learning indeed, but most of ur learning is done... well 1/2 of it, Vegeta as a ssj2 in the Buu arc is pretty much as far as he goes (some people continue to debate whether or not Majin Vegeta is SSj2 or just a powered up SSj.. but come on, just because it doesn't say it doesn't mean it's not so), he continues to fight later on and definately puts up a good fight, but i think it's mostly balls that he fights with, not training, at least i don't think he trained in the other world, he just kinda showed up and was like 'don't f**** with me!' and then he was called back to Earth by King Yema (sp?) to fight against Buu (king yema not knowing that goku was already being sent as well)Cloud Clone wrote: ..so I'm comparing just what I've seen, which would be Hiei as a B class demon and SSJ2 Vegeta in the Buu arc of DBZ...hmmm, so I guess that I wouldn't have the most reasonable hypothesis, which is rare and frustrating for me...

and when i say that Vegeta fights with no training, don't be anal about it, of course i know he trains, but i'm just saying i don't think he does any additional training after his sacrifice
i haven't seen anything of YYH past what they've shown in Shonen Jump Monthly... and that is almost nothing of the series, the only Hiei i've seen is when he teams up along side Kurama to help Yusuke and Kuwa beat those 4 bad guys... that and music videos

Vegeta is not arrogant. He has the pride of one of the last survivors of a dwindling race and trys to make the name meen something. (No i dont like DBZ but i did infact watch almost the whole thing a couple years ago)
Hiei is not arrogant. He has had a very disturbing past and makes up for it with a strong atitude and a quest for strength.
Not only in your outlook on what this fight would be like, but the shear fact that you paired them up is pretty lame. I would suggest either watching the whole series, or if you have to look at the characters better.
Japanese makes incredible cars and put stickers with their sponsors on the side. Americans take this concept and slap stickers and giant spoilers are stock imports.
Comic book creators pair up characters from different comics but adleast for the love of god have a STORY to it. People make lame Vs. threads like this

they think up the story [I[AFTER[/I] they've decided to combine the two series together to make money and milk a product...Shun wrote:Comic book creators pair up characters from different comics but adleast for the love of god have a STORY to it. People make lame Vs. threads like this

vs threads are not serious, they're entertaining, so try not to take this seriously like we're gonna try to do it or anything, it's just a what-if type of thing
plus, i could suggest a story... it's the same lame one i said before, but it's a story none-the-less
Goku and Vegeta are at a tournament... Yusuke and Kuwabara go to the tournament as well... Yusuke and Kuwa see that Goku and Vegeta have tails and then they go DEMONS!!
then they turn to the sidelines and see Tien with his third eye and Piccolo with his... skin ... i think you know where this is going

Vegeta would most definately win. he could just sit up there and blast the hell out of hiei. Hiei has the better attacks. Dragon of the darkness flame.

And Hiei is supposed to stand still while Vegeta fires a volley of shots at him? Not even Frieza was dumb enough to stand still like that. Hiei isn't stupid, even if he is physically powerful. He's smart, and fast. I think he'd dodge. ^_^;Silwyth wrote:Vegeta would most definately win. he could just sit up there and blast the hell out of hiei. Hiei has the better attacks. [BTW~!
If that huge picture is your sig pic, it needs to be about 1/20 the size. Check the rules in the 'Profile' - it shouldn't be any larger than the little banner I have in my sig. o.o ]

isn't that a contradiction anyways?Silwyth wrote:Vegeta would most definately win. he could just sit up there and blast the hell out of hiei. Hiei has the better attacks. Dragon of the darkness flame.
you say vegeta can sit there and blast the hell out of Hiei (which Ari already proved false... or at least improbable)
but you say that Hiei has the more powerfull attack
soooo, shouldn't Hiei's dragon of darkness flame go through vegeta's attacks?... i think we should think about our posts and make sure they say what they mean before posting them, kinda like the preview button usage
Hiei might be able to just deflect the ki shots too though couldn't he?

Heh, Hiei could use either the dragon or try deflecting them - but I don't think he'd bother to do either. What happens in DBZ when Vegeta gets angry and just stands in one place blasting the heck out of a seemingly motionless target? The person zips around behind him and gets a back attack point-blank. Frieza does it, Kid Buu does it, it's pretty standard in DBZ.Daio Kaji wrote:soooo, shouldn't Hiei's dragon of darkness flame go through vegeta's attacks?

Hiei does it as well. During his fight with Bui he does *just* that - only he appeared behind Bui so Bui's attack would hit him (it was following Hiei). Still, it would be simple to zip around and attack if he wanted to. And remember - when Hiei did that with his fight against Bui he was pretty much floating in midair - he even 'paused' long enough to get one shitty little smirk in before the blast hit. ^_^;;
So no, I don't think Hiei would stand there, or deflect the attacks, or even try to counter them. I think he'd let Vegeta think the attacks are making contact while he disappears and goes for an unexpected counter attack - point blank range.
The real question - wouldn't Vegeta know better than to do that? As many bad guys as he's tried that on (and failed because they got behind him while he was distracted during a long drawn out shower of blasts)? I don't think Vegeta would do it. If it took place at the end of the series, he'd surely know better by then. Like Hiei, Vegeta is stubborn and cocky, but not dumb. ^.^
