Hey,
Are you using any download accelerators or download managers? If so, disable them. If not, click the local link to the video, cancel the first dialog box to save the video, wait >60 seconds (120 seconds just to be safe) then click on the "click here if your download does not start automatically" link. The download should start.
Here's how it works: When you attempt to start a download, an entry is made with who you are, what video you are downloading, and what time you started the download. If you attempt to download the video again, the system checks if you tried it within the last 60 seconds. If the answer is "yes", you are given the error message you keep getting. If the answer is no, the download starts from the beginning of the file.
This means that the only way you receive the error message is if you attempt to download the same video more than once in 60 seconds. This is in place to stop bandwidth-wasting download "accelerators".
Try that and see what happens. Good luck.
Phade.

I never had any problems with 98se... I would click da link, click "Proceed" (I need to send Phade some cash) and then the next page that pops up says "The download will automatically start in 10 seconds" of something relatively close to that. I'd wait 10 seconds, it'd start, and it'd take me hours and hours to get them (28.8kbps dialup = teh evil)
I have Windows XP Pro and Cable now, and I still do the same thing and it works. I don't know if there is anything else you can try, other than a different browser, like Mozilla. It's free and there are a few diferent versions of it. Phade is fond of Firefox and now that I've tried it, I like it, but it's a resource hog, worse than Opera, but still works.
That's about all the advice and info I can give...

I never said that... I said to "try" it.kaine23 wrote:So I gotta get another browser just to download from here right?! Gee, that's fair...
Disable all download accelorators that you might have running, click on the local link and just simply wait until the "Save File to..." box pops up. Pick where ya want it to go and it'll start.
If you want to RESUME vids, then either FireFox or Opera are your best bets. But, give the other two a try, you might like them better than IE (most of us here at the ORG completely avoid it). I tried Opera and haven't used IE for anything except FTP access to friends websites. That's all I use it for.
