Umm...Miroku can eat anything with his wind tunnel, remember? Even Sesshomaru! Miroku could destroy them all in one attack, if he wanted...he's all-powerful!

Well... no. Miroku is on a path of inevitable self destruction. While this lends some much needed drama to the series and the character by having him be slightly more complex than a typical tertiary character, it also means that he could be very vulnerable via the same method.

Remember the mantis episode where he got a tiny scratch and had to flee lest he turn himself (and by association) and those near him into a crater?

Then there are the episodes where he tries to suck up some villian or other and they simply blow the ground up in front of him till he's had his fill of rock. On top of that there are those stupid poison bees, if he gets all whacked on a few bees, what would happen should Sessoumaru let loose with his poison attack into the wind stream (mixed in with some boulders for uh.... crunchiness)?

No, failing Naraku who seems to have aquired the comic book ability of getting a new power whenever it suits the plotline: Sessoumaru is the most powerful. Lets not forget that he controls both life and death through his swords (one of which was able to break tetsaiga).

I'm sure Arigatomyna covered some of this earlier, so sorry if I'm going over old ground.

Well I still like Miroku.....
It does seem like he is kind of a weak character....
but that doesn't matter what he lacks he makes up in personality!

Miroku eats all, I say! All it would take to beat Sesshomaru would be to catch 'im by surprise and 'Wind Tunnel' eatify!

Dammit Cloud its obvious that Sesshomaru who is a pure blooded demon would win. Not to mention he has his sword his father gave him to protect him.

Alright, look at it this way...

Sesshomaru's father = killed by ordinary humans.

Sesshomatu = not as wicked-powerful as his father

Miroku = Uber-powerful human being

Miroku > Sesshomaru, so there!
