Okay, lessee about this, . . .

This next question comes from another Studio Ghibli Film: Hohokekyo Tonari no Yamada-kun, or My Neighbors the Yamadas.

One of the vignettes in the film involves a shopping trip. The Yamada family are driving around the city when they realize that they have forgotten something at the last shopping mall: their daughter, Nonoko (last seen taking a nap on a bench while she, along w/ her father and brother, are waiting for Mom and Grandma to return). So, the Yamadas (four out of five) do a U-turn, and rush as fast as they can (in heavy traffic and worse panic!) to get back to Nonoko. "GET OUT OF THE WAY! Our daughter may be KIDNAPPED!!"

Meanwhile, back on the bench, young Nonoko (now awake) is not alone. Sitting next to her is an even younger boy, almost in tears. Nonoko talks to the young boy (who's not s'possed to talk to strangers) that her father, mother, brother, and grandmother "got lost." This helps the young boy open up, and he reveals that he's lost his mommy. "Wow. There seems to be a LOT of missing parents here." Nonoko then guides the young boy to the nearest information desk, where they get the boy's name so they can find his mother.

The question (long buildup -- FINALLY there's a question!): What is the young boy's name?

Not quite twenty-four hours, but this needed to be bumped, so here comes a second question.

This question comes from the motion picture Memories. To be more specific, the third segment, Cannon Fodder.

According to the daily report in Gun News, how many shots had been fired that day by the cannon which the Father is a member of its crew?

Q3:
This question comes from the motion picture Shoujo Kakumei Utena: Adolescence Mokushiroku

At the opening of the Race, Shadow Girls E-ko and F-ko begin their special LIVE COVERAGE!! The curtain then goes up to a "war room" (Sorry, I can't think of another way to describe it) with dozens of shadow girls monitoring the action, in front of a large "jumbo-tron" screen. As this LIVE COVERAGE is just starting, all of the screens and monitors are showing a boot-up screen.

The Question: According to all of these screens, what operating system are they using?

I believe it was "Kage OS" (Shadow OS).

Correctomundo!! Now I can't be absolutely certain, but below the main logo, I believe it says "KAGE OS Ver 3.0.21" as well (based on the R2 DVD, which uses the Kage OS boot-up screen as part of the main menu).

Now to close out the other questions:

My Neighbors the Yamadas
The young boy's name was KIMURA Toshio.

Memories
According to Gun News, Cannon 17 got off four (4) shots that day.

Your thread now, JHU!

Okay, from my favorite Ghibli movie of all (and the movie that hooked me irretrevably on anime), Kaze no Tani no Nausicaä:

In this future world, ostrich-like birds are used as mounts. What are the names of Yupa's pair?

This is from Princess Nine:
In the last episode of Princess Nine, Koharu is the next batter. She is depressed over some news she recently recieved from home. She gets a fax with one Japanese character (kanji, I think) on it. What does this character say, acoording to the translation given in the subtitles?

Uh, you may want to post a different question. I asked this question back in August (page 6 of this particular thread).
