¿¿¿How 2 convert Warcraft 3 and Frozen Throne mpq videos???

I want 2 do an amv with that outstanding cinematics but i can´t open that videos in premier or combustion. I can see that videos in windows with simple mplayer but they have an special codec from Blizzard, debelopers of the game.

If some body have done it, i´ll be glad to know how to do it.

Just rename them to avi and change the fourcc codes to DIVX.

Try opening it in virtualdub and converting it to huffyuv.

Dude, easy as this. Open the movie file with Windows media player and go to File > Save Media As . . . and it will bring up the save as screen. Now name the fiie whatever you want and put .avi or .mpeg right after that!!! You can kiss me later!! =^_^= Have fun!!

man, first off. their arent enough cgi scenes in warcraft3 for an amv. secondly, theys scenes are absolutely amazing, and it would ruin it if someone saw them without playing through the game

bum - If i get this sh*** on premiere i´ll find a shot musi for it 2 minutes maximun. And I´ll add a "Expoiler warning".

Have anybody REALLY done the same thing that i´m asking for?

Did you change the fourcc and file extension?? It should open fine in vdub if you did.

Futhermore, Warcraft 3 isn't anime and is thus not allowed to be uploaded to the site...

Virtual dub can´t open this. I found abcAVI Tag Editor that Allow change the FourCC. I change it to HFYU Huffman Lossless Codec YUV and RGB but it doesn´t change the real codec.
That codec is: DivX for Blizzard Decoder Filter 'BLZ0' and I can´t find it on the net...
Without this plugin I think it´imposible to rip it without lose quality...
