Doesn't mean I want to see a child being molested under the guise of romance. If it were just hentai, I'd say "go for it you pervs, just keep it animated and leave real kids alone." When it's 'romance' I say "okay, I'm going to go watch something else now." ^_^

Note that this kind of thing has been a theme in Japanese literature for at least a thousand years - The Tale of Genji has a major plot thread about the prince carefully raising a young girl to adulthood so that she'll be a suitable bride. By today's standard, he'd be a pedophile "grooming" his victim.

The "unrealistic aging" thing (how old is Inuyasha, really? For that matter, how old are the characters in Haibane Renmei - do you count from their birth as haibane, or the apparent age of their bodies, since many seem to be born as adults?) raises big problems for child-pornography laws, because it's perfectly possible to have obvious children who are technically hundreds of years old, or obvious adults who are technically only a year or two old. In Canada we have a law against fictional child pornography that under current proposed extensions would even cover words, let alone visual images, and I can imagine all too well the fun that'll cause when it mixes with fantasy and sci-fi characters who look human but have non-human life cycles.

No...it's only a very slight difference, really.

My stepdad is 20+ years older than my mom...but then, that's different. WAY different.

i think ages realy doesnt matter when the 2 people are both over the leagel age ....

my dad was 30 something when he meet my step mom who was 20.... of corse no one can bet that 20yr age gap.... but

how olds that guy who owns playboy?
