Yeah, it's funny that whoever subbed the DVD didn't know that. They spelled Alucard "Arucard" because that's how the Japanese pronounce their "L"s. Anyone who had half a brain should have known that his name was supposed to have been spelled Alucard.Wolfie2233 wrote:Yeah i hope they bring out another one soon!!!!!1 i'd buy it like asap! i mean i feel that the paladin will come back with some new tricks and w00t! also you all know that alacuard name spelled backwards is dracula? anyone? well yeah and w00t!

I read the second volume of the manga today. It seems to be following the anime pretty closely, with a LOT more info. Someone mentioned a reference to Nazi Germany that just showed up.
There's going to be more?! Someone had told me that it was finished! Damn. Cool.

Like I said, there are 6 vols. so far, with vol 7 on the way, and new chapters appear monthly in Young King Ours magazine.ryuu_hime13 wrote:I read the second volume of the manga today. Now, Darkhorse however, has only released vols 1 and 2 in the U.S.
I don't intend on getting those as I have all the Japanese ones released so far.
Let's see, vol ....
*runs to shelf and grabs my vol. 2 of Hellsing*
AHHH yes!
"W-Walter-san......what is this.....here....?"
New guns, freak chip revealed, Valentine Bros. attack on Hellsing HQ, Millenium revealed, the appearance of Pip.....yes good stuff....
Oh, and funny stuff too...like when Integra and Maxwell meet in the museuem and Alexander and Alucard are ready to go at it when Seras pops in as the tour guide and walks some people through....that scene was hilarious...
Couple questions about the U.S. release:
1. In the original Japanese, there are some instances where English text is used, so is there any parts where the text looks "untampered" with in the U.S. version?
2. Is CrossFire in the U.S. version?
3. Does the U.S. version have a "straight" cover, or does it come in a sleeve?
The Japanese version comes in a sleeve, and removing the sleeeve reveals some funny doodles by Kouta Hirano.

Man, U.S. companies really cheat the fans....
The Japanese version has more stuff, and its cheaper.....
The only advantage to the U.S. version is if you can't read Japanese.

And yet, if you listen to the audio, it sounds like "Akkard".Miyavi-type wrote:Yeah, it's funny that whoever subbed the DVD didn't know that. Which I find odd.

In the manga they shorten it to A-ka-do.DemonSpawn wrote:And yet, if you listen to the audio, it sounds like "Akkard".Miyavi-type wrote:Yeah, it's funny that whoever subbed the DVD didn't know that. Also, Fu kei is probably a shortened version of Fujin Keikan (police woman)
When said fast it sounds sorta like Akkard, so maybe that's just eh Japanese shorteing the name for faster pronounciation? (you were watching the Japanese audio right?)
Did you get the Japanese version?Zaphod_Beeblebrox wrote:uhhh....but hang on a moment, i got hellsing vol. 1 over here in good ol' England and it has got crossfire in it......now i'm confused......
If it is in English, what company is releasing it?
In the U.S. its Darkhorse comics,
And in Japan its Young King Comics (Hence Young King Ours)

Seras's name is different in the Japanese version? I guess that makes sense....
If you were referring to English dialect then the question is yes, it does include some of that. There were no doodles, but there was some really funny commentary in the margins. YOU CAN READ JAPANESE?!
As for that tour guide scene...LOVED IT! I started laughing in the middle of gym (yes, that's right, I was reading manga when I was supposed to be getting my healthy dose of exercise...exercise my ass....). Then I was rudely interrupted when my best friend bumped me for no apparent reason. Needless to say, I bit her head off.
Can't wait till volume 3 is released! Does anyone know the date?
