Anywho, I guess I should add some thought into this. Top editors is always gonna be a changing thing. Me, I'm still hooked on some of the old vids that got me started on AMV's..and Anime all together. Hell I just ran across some of them not too long ago o.O

Probably made two of the best Tenchi vids I ever saw, unfortunately they're not up for download :\

Alpha Omega, Himiko (get your vids on the donut dammit!!) and the person who made the best vcr2vcr vid evar, Maboroshi (too sleepy to spell his real name), though he isn't really overlooked, and probably several other regular joes from the past years who seemed to have vanished, made some great stuff.

Well, it should be noted that both of those Tenchi vids are easily available on Kazaa. I actually have both on my HD right now...

what this all boils down to for me at least is personal preference... like anything it all comes down to the taste of the viewer since every video usually has a different impact for each person. To say who are the best of the best isn't the way I would put it, but I think it should be said that every amv creator in some regard deserves recgonition for the contributions they have made...

on my mad props list it is more of the old school variety and hopefully I will get around to watching all the great videos being produced by the newer generation of amv creators...

so here it is for me
C-ko: his "everything she does is magic" was the first i saw

Duane Johnson: what can be said... amazing work

Brad Demoss: again another editor who not only does great videos, but does great things for the community

Kevin Caldwell: some videos that will probably never be forgotten

EK: not a ton of videos, but all I have to say is failed experiments...

Lee Thompson: Another comedy king, but amazed me with "The Fall"

Kusoyaro: all I have to say about this boy is I hope he has learn how to hold his booze... Buddy Lee wins! To bad u punked out on me at the Iron Chef and did it sober... heheh

William M... I can never see a cat food commercial without thinking of him

Doki Doki: damn Canadians... and this is truely the most straight faced funny man I have ever met.

Ian Roberts: as far as the new generation he blew me away with his work

Nathan Bezner: another creator who really impressed me with his work

Sorry for going a little off topic here but I'm curious as to why many of the earlier, well know creators choose not to upload their videos to the donut.

Is it due to the fact, that once you (I suppose I'm asking MaboroshiStudio primarily since you just posted) upload it, you have little control of the file? Do you simply wish not to publicize them further? Or legal action?

I'm just curious, I doubt heavily on the last suggestion...

It is the fact that most of my original mpeg files blow and I don't want to upload the bad copies... I have also lost some over the years. I plan to eventually re-capture them and upload to the site, but I have gotten busy with life (getting married and work is killin me) so it will have to wait. So in short, I am taking a nice little siesta from the amv world getting busy with my life.
