letter box style? what exactly do you mean?
And i'm not sure what your going for, but cropping is the best method to remove subtitles, unless you want to edit every frame of the video and color in the holes.

Um, almost all videos are rectangular and not square. 4:3 is rectangular, 16:9 is rectangular (though more so than 4:3), and 2.35:1 is rectangular (even more than the others). I think the word you're looking for is "widescreen".
You can set the resolution in the project settings, though I don't know if Premiere Pro will let you change it once the project's been created. For most anamorphic sources (or, if you're not so lucky, letterboxed sources that you've cropped and resized), you'll want to use a resolution of either 960x480 or 720x360, depending on what you resized your source clips to.

Re: Letterbox view in Adobe Premiere
This may be redundant but you DID read the part of the guides that deals with anamorphic sources right?Dann3 wrote:Hey i was wondering what i have to do to get a letterbox dimensions for my videos, i'm using Adobe Premiere Pro 7
