dont judge it if ya aint sene it all. rahxephon did rip of evanelion, blatantly at that. i mean, scene's we're literaly ripped straight out of eva. evangelion goes something like this. first half is prety average for mecha, while allways staying interesting, nothing wierd. thien about epp 13-14 thigns start geting wierd. they constantly get wierder and more dramatic, realy fucking with you alot. at times it just feels like your heart just missed a few beats. then the last 5 or so minutes of the final eppisode things go normal and it feels like someone has just pushed your head in a pool of water and only let you out a second before you died. it has such an amazing emotional impact. anyone that sais that evangelion has anyhting thats even slighly remenicent of filler eppisodes or scenes just hasnt taken the time to properly understant it

Hmmm, I would agree with that. There's not really a single moment of filler in Eva. Everything ties directly into the overall story. While it can seem a bit episodic, especially in the first half of the series, its really not.

and thats about all i can be fucked finding for now, if i could be fucked i would find alot more. sificient to say, the last two eppisodes might as well have bien turned into a movie and renamed end of rahxephon. oh yeah, the misatofake. yes, she loved beer and liked geting drunk too. oh yeah, and that monster that created that black shadow which drowned everything. epp 16, eva01 drowning n a sea of derok. eventualy goes beserk and comes back. again rahxephon just ripped it off.

When I read this, to me, it seems as though these are all rather subtle differences. Animation wise, it had a lot of scenes like Evangelion.

Not sure how the episode 4 fake got in their...she didn't grab hold of him and have it awaken, he fell on the ground and started rolling around while clutching his balls. Mishima sang the Mu song and the RahXephon awakened.

As for the 'arm reaching' reference, I believe they put that in their as to show that Ayato barely even knows what he's doing when he pilots it. He looks rather surprised to see that he saved her.

The 'misato-clone' doesn't like getting drunk, but her partner sure does.

An elevator resemblance? Please. How different can elevators be from each other?

As for this stuff about 'pain from the arm being ripped off,' shall I bring the Escaflowne into this or just leave it out?

There are people who think that if it looks alike, it's the same thing. If there is a Mage in a video game, they think it's a ripoff from DnD. If there is a quiet girl in RahXephon, you think she's a ripoff of Rei.

The Shinji-Ayato clone thing...I don't understand that. There is hardly anything like each other personality wise, or animation wise.

Man,We've been sitting here since for 6 hours and we still haven't come up with an idea for a mech/sci-fi anime. I'm tired, sober, and horny. I say we just rip off Gainex and Evangelion and be done with it. All we need to do is change the character designs and mess around with the story line a little and we have ourselves an anime. No one will ever know the difference

You act as if Bones decided to rip off the whole series. True I shouldn't judge it before I've seen the whole of each series. I'm probably not adding too much to the arguement that RahXephon is not a rip off.
If you find any stuff that the RahXephon plot "ripped off" from Eva's plot, then post it (other than the fact that they are both mech and both sci-fi). But the stuff you said was ripped off are just little things.

well that just proves that you never took the time to understand NGE. the eppisodes arent random, thiers a constant story. thiers never any filler eppisodes. thier is barely a scene that arent somehow linked to the story. i mean, evangelion has one of the msot well structured and complete stories ever.

And for once, I find myself actually agreeing with Bum.

Personally, I think that episodes 7, 10, and 11 could have been done without, without really detracting from the plot very much at all.

It doesn't matter to me if rahxephon shows many similarities to evangelion... and it really shouldn't...

either way.. I like'em both.. but I'm leaning more onto Rahxephon... because it is my own opinion and favorite...

and umm.. (just my opinion i guess..) rahxephon's storyline made a lot more sense than evangelion(which.. i'll probably need to see again to knock a little more sense in... )

I did.... but I guess it was due to watching it the first time all in one day..

Looks like i'll have to ask my friend to borrow his Eva videos again..

i probably should've bought those Eva VHS back at metrocon.. they were like.. $4 each!! and I had like.. $60 with me.. so I could've afforded those... oh well..

RahXephon sux big time! Story, characters..everything except the great animation and robot design.

Eva sucks even more!! Only thing I liked in Eva was The End of Eva. The other eps. were boring, uninteresting. I compliment the story, but such strange developing....

. Animation blows, especially Eva designs. Fights...boring and uninteresting (except End of Eva.). I watched it this year maybe that's why I dislike it. Seeing so many better animes IMO I couldn't see anything THAY good in Eva. Of all the characters I liked Rei since she was misterious and always looked sexy

. As for others...Asuka=annoying ,Shinji=woos. All others didn't even leave an impression

IMO Rah>Eva but both suck.
