The new plug in pack... Problems???!!!
I am getting a really whacked out message from Premiere after I have run the plug in installer, I have even reinstalled Premiere. This is the message, any ideas?
This application has failed to start because MSVCR70.dll was not found. Re-installing this application may fix this problem.
It will still load up, but it doesn't seem to recognize avs files, cause it won't show the test files in the pack.
PLEASE HELP!!

Hey guys, I think the MSVCR70.DLL error has something to do with people not having the .NET Foundation Classes instaleld from WindowsUpdate.com.
Jtalley>> Try going to windowsupdate.com and look under "Product Updates", then look for something about ".NET Foundation". Try installing that and then try again.

You can get that dll from http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-f ... ml?msvcr70
It's our fault - we forgot that compiling with VC7 means that older operating systems might not have the file.
The next release will be compiled with VC6 for greater compatibility. Sorry about that.

Very important for the newbies/seasoned editors
Although it doesn't seem like a big deal which version of DVD2Avi is used to frameserve, it IS IMPERATIVE THAT one uses version 1.76 AND NOT version 1.82 OnGOingrelease.
If you have ever tried it, any frameserve project made with 1.82 will NOT work with AviSynth. This is probably due to the structure of of the .d2v file; they probably differ with versions. I am stressing this because I never was able to attain the VOB edit in premiere method because... bingo...I always used 1.82. You figure new version, no big deal. Very frustrating not being able to use it for 8 months because of this reason.
Let me tell you, I had to pick up my eyeballs after seeing that .avs load up perfectly, mit VOB stream! and it resizes fine. Please AD, try to get the message out that everyone MUST use 1.76 for project exports. Thank you all for the great utilities.

Re: Very important for the newbies/seasoned editors
We've known this for a long time and it does say so in the guides, as ErMaC has pointed out. I think I mention it somewhere in the readme file for the app pack as well. Anyway, I'm glad it now works for you. You should have said earlier and we would have told yousilentdragon wrote:Although it doesn't seem like a big deal which version of DVD2Avi is used to frameserve, it IS IMPERATIVE THAT one uses version 1.76 AND NOT version 1.82 OnGOingrelease.
