Yes, it was. I used to watch that show all the time when it used to be on.paizuri wrote:Wasn't that Zelda cartoon part of the Super Mario Bros. show? I seem to remember Monday-Thursday were Mario Brothers cartoons and on Friday they'd show the Zelda cartoon instead...

If i remember right, it was Mario Bros. on Mon-Thurs, Zelda on Fri, and Capt. N on Saturdays. And there were even two actors who would play as Mario and Luigi chillin' out in their living room before and after the Mario Bros. cartoons. That show was one of the largest Amercian cash-ins I've seen. They even had Magic Johnson make a cameo on the show once. Funny thing is, the last time I saw the actor who played Mario on tv, he was in a Lil' Ceasars pizza commercial, poor guy.

There's a lot of those cartoons now. Any of the new superhero cartoons like Teen Titans, X-Men Evolution, heck even the new TMNT is anime-ish. Although why shredder is a tentacled brain like Krang, I have no idea.DDramone wrote:quick question. yes or no, so dont move me to another forum. what if theres a cartoon thats american but anime inspired?
Another pointless post!

Look closely and you'll see.Kracus wrote:I just wanted to laugh I remember watching Zelda. There was an old Peter Pan cartoon as well.
Also, how is X-men Evolution anime-ish?
and hopefully no one else believe Van Helsing the movie is based off of Hellsing the anime.

Come on give whatever reason you say it is. I don't watch it that often but from what I've seen, I don't know how it trying to be like anime.
The only problem I've had is changing and doing all this to hype the movies and trying to appeal to a younger generation by making them kids in High School .

X-Men Evolution doesn't resemble anime to me. It does however, resemble a steaming pile of crap. And as far as I know, the whole everybody being in school thing isn't from anime, but more from the recent movies.
lol that would be sad. But people should know that in Hellsing, Integra is descended from Van Helsing.Kracus wrote:and hopefully no one else believe Van Helsing the movie is based off of Hellsing the anime
