Oh fizzucker, you may not have proper codecs installed or it is a software conflict. Like with some video editing software your Power Point loses the ability to play mpegs. No clue why, just does. So check google for answers to ur problem. Hope this helps. PS srry for the double post, just can't edit your own posts.

Well, you're not really seeing as your sig is still too big.

That's true, but it's still too big for this site. Good thing you posted without it

Ignorence.

RM can result in far better quality than other compression formats available.
My mistake, I was inferring from the fact he said his video was only around 11 mb.

Have a nice day.

It isn't just RM thats underrated, it's WMV too.

Not really all WMV codecs in general, but I notice that when I compress into AVI, I get great quality at 50 megabyes. When I compres into WMV9, I get great quality at 20 megabytes.

Must be that compatability thing.

For the highest level of compatability encode your video to Mpeg-1. Everything including Windows 3.1 comes out of the box with Mpeg-1. While I've been using Divx these days, I kept running into codec illerate people who get the video file to play just the audio and are completly confused as to the fact that they need to install Divx or Xvid or whatever. I've decided to fall back to large size Mpeg-1 files from this point on.

I've found that the latest AMV i've compiled (not upped yet) is in rather high quality in a 512K .wmv format. It's 16 megs. A little bigger but its a small price to pay to get more compatibility! Screw Real Networks! (even though i use their codecs)

WMV isn't really the epitome of compatability. Theres lot's of systems that can't play them.
