Song Suggestions

i'm about to make my 1st DBZ/DBGT amv and i need sone song suggestions. i know how the layout of the video is gonna be i just would like to do a it with a song that people are not sick of. my goal is to be as good as Mater_Gohan22.although i've seen plenty of awesome videos his are bad as hell. thanks for the help peps[/img]

Well, I've never heard of him, so I don't know his work. But if you want to see good dbz vids, check the ones on the 'top' lists, or do a search of the forum for the various 'good dbz vid' threads that are sitting in the shadows.

As for your question, you should ask about song recs for vids in the 'Amv suggestions' section. Or, if you just want to know song names (no matter what they're about), in the 'General Music' section.

And while I like dbz, I can't see how anyone could give you a suggestion without knowing what you're vid is about. ^_^; Is it an action vid? Are you looking for hard rock that you can do meaningless violence to? Or is it a dramatic song you want, something that would let you do a character profile, or even retell one of the various stories in the anime? Or are you looking for a song you can do a parody of, something upbeat or just strange?

Asking for a popular song could get you anything - just look at the 'most used music' list if you want to know what songs people here like best.

As long as it's not for Mirai Trunks. ;p We already have a 'legendary' Trunks profile vid for that song.

well the idea i was having was going to be a goku and vegita vid from when they first met the battles each had going from ssj , fusion, to ssj4. a bit of it will be split screen like when goku and vegita fought cell and buu.looking for rock songs and the vid will have a bit of violence.

In that case, your video will have a story - even if it's just a strong theme of them as time goes by. Something with suitable lyrics would really separate a vid like that from your average 'random action' vid featuring those two. The only problem with that is finding a song that fits - one that *hasn't* been abused with this anime yet. [By abuse, I mean someone matching the song to these two characters, but ignoring the lyrics so that they might as well not be there - in which case it's a waste of a very fitting song that could have told a strong story and been more than just a random action vid.]

If you don't want to be tied with lyrics, something general might do it - I like the soundtracks for the 'Matrix' and 'Blade' myself. You can get a lot of nice harsh but neat tracks from those soundtracks, plenty of wild rock-type songs that will give you all sorts of beats to time to. I don't know if those tracks are 'popular', though, considering they haven't been used much. If you're aiming for something people like - but something that hasn't been done - then I don't know what to tell you. Half the reason people make vids is because they like the songs, so most of the songs a lot of people like have already been used, repeatedly. You'd have to look for something newer, or some old overlooked classic.

[Wait a bit - if the mods move this over to AMV suggestions the music gurus might speak up. ^_^; ]
