I have no idea of what version of Initial D you're talking about. I never seen any episode of D, I've only read the mangas and always wanted to watch the anime for a long long time.angelx03 wrote:demented wrote:GTO might do justice, but for the love of God NOT INITIAL D (note I'm refering to the "tricked" version)!

When Tokyopop licensed Initial D, they decided to release two versions on the DVD, the "Classic Ride" and the "Tricked" version. The "Classic Ride" contained the subtitled version with BGM, sound effects, and names in tact. The "tricked" version has the shitty editing job with horrid effects, washed-out car noises, and a new soundtrack which sounds horrid; Tokyopop made this version so network TV like MTV or FOX could broadcast it.

Ahh... Street Fighter II movie syndrome. The once with Alice in Chains soundtrack, editing Chun-Li shower scene, and E. Honda talkin' like a Texan.angelx03 wrote:When Tokyopop licensed Initial D, they decided to release two versions on the DVD, the "Classic Ride" and the "Tricked" version. I think Hellsing and S.E. Lain shoudl eb put on, Lain is a very good anime as long as you have the slightest clue of whats going on I read they only put out 12 episodes of Cowboy bebop so maybe they should put out all of them on it.
Those stupid "I am (insert characters name)" things never work. I try and fail....horribly

This list looks good except for Samurai Deeper Kyo. *shivers* Anime is too different from the manga (White Crow was butchered ) and the english dubs aren't that good (or such is my opinion)Karou_ken wrote:more suggestions:

Escaflowne
Evangelion
Full Metal Alchemist

Opening themes! Yes! I hate how they rarely show them.ebichuman wrote:No matter what anime gets put on Adult Swim, at least show the opening and ending themes in their entirety! What makes Outlaw Star or Cowboy Bebop different from Wolf's Rain or Inuyasha, that we can't see the opening and/or ending themes to the latter two?
I remember hearing rumors that they were going to show a few movies (like the Inuyasha movie) but no word on that sometime.
I like the new lineup...it's pretty good. I doubt they'd be adding new shows anytime soon. But maybe if you do email them they'll consider some of the shows mentioned above for the future.
