OGM's
Hey i have some OGM files on my computer, every time i highlight them i get an error from Windows explorer and it has to close. Why is this happening? Is there any thing i can do? BS Player also errors when i start playing them. Anyone know a good OGM viewer? Thanks.

ffdshow should play them. I don't know the exact site, but just do a google search or go to www.doom9.org
I have a playback pack (which adwared up my comp, and then removed it right after installation) that I got from a BitTorrent site (which won't be revealed) that worked for playing OGM, MKV and any other file I threw at it.

I'm gonna say most likely AVI or Matroska.

Yes, what codec? Probably XviD...
It might also be because of subtitle mixer - it was pretty b0rked when I tried it. I recommend unistalling it and using vsfilter instead.
If that doesn't help, uninstall OGM parser (oggds) and use mpc to play the files - it's got internal parser that works well. You'll need coreVorbis for audio which is very good anyway.
Hope that helps,
Radek

Same here. You've either got an outdated version or something else installed that's acting weird, Izumi.trythil wrote:It works fine for meDJ_Izumi wrote:OGM + WMP + No OGM Playback Filters = Crash

Someone's gotta give those CoreCodec boys props, they designed a container system that won't playback on the most used x86 media player in the world.

If you're having problems with playing ANY video files, I reccomend the kazaa lite codec pack, www.k-litecodecpack.com... as for a player, I reccomend The core media player (forgot the URL, sorry).

ffdshow and/or Media Player Classic > any codec pack...
