Mine only had "a few" effects, the rest was just simple cuts and fades

Guys this has got to be one of the best AMV's I've seen since joining the .org. Killer work, this just made the top 10 on my favorites.
Great editing on everyone's part, but it seemed like to me that it was just too many effects. I dunno, maybe I'm just picky but it felt too effect-driven for me.
You know, I'm getting tired of people whining about things like this. instead of whining how aobut you appreciate the hard work people sometimes put into videos like these. I actually appreciate it when people don't confine themselves to just fades and slices. It show's alot more of what people are capable of doing. I've said it once and will continue to say this... anyone can drop in a cross dissolve into a vid and call it a day. It takes more to make it your own and Kreate something with what you have.

just my .02 on that comment.

killer job guys.

I guess I expected there'd be more given the music's techno nature.
I'm not a crazy FX editor... really I'm not!

(I really have to see this now...)

There's also the fact that this project was supposed to be about style, and if effects are part of an editor's style, then let them use them. If it were any other video, I'd say something about how mood/meaning/story/etc. must take precedence over effects... but not this one, just due to its nature.

Comon peeps, the project name is "Reflections of Style"!!! Its all about style in this project. Quit ya complainin about effects and just sit back and enjoy the hard work they put into it. What bothers me even more, is that half of ya are just following the "trend" of complaining about effects driven videos since Euphoria. You know ya like it. Sit back and just take in each editors Style and not be overly critical on effects, thats how you enjoy this video. It is afterall, all about Style, and this video has plenty of it.

lol. I enjoy peoples hard work but I leave everyone to there own opinion. I'm sorta partial to this project myself. I helped with some of the planning so I guess I was expecting some things to meet my expectations but I guess that won't ever really happen in a multi-editor project. In the end I give it a thumbs up. Good work guys.

Damn, that was good. It flowed extremely well, and the parts melded together like it was one editor. Great job, everyone.

Some parts got to be too fast for me, but for the most part each editor took their part and made something I could only dream of making myself.

a lot of people DO bitch just to be part of the trend... and those people piss me off.. as for me... i bitch about anything that i can... pilk makes a vid... i bitch.. knives makes a vid... i bitch... koop makes a vid.. i bitch.. Addiction makes a vid... I BITCH! so you see... the effects are annoying at times... there were some nice spots on there.. and ian, i heard that you joined late.. knives told me..

while i must agree with you there, anyone can throw in a trackmatte, or a few cheap effects, with no story just random flashy clips... *there's even an effect i have called random edit... and it does a pretty good job.. as far as making cheap crappy amvs.. anyways, all im saying is Story>Effects... sometimes cheesy effects help a vid.. but only if it has a good story line... as far as Multi editor projects... there isnt much you can do for story, so as long as it fits the song its alright *i just happen to like flashy nice timed videos when dealing with multi editor projects*

i would like to see more story driven amvs...

Finally, I was able to watch this video. Awsome job on everyone's part (though AD's segment once again freaks me out  ).
