What language should i watch Jin-Roh in?

I just got my jinroh in the mail, and just curious of what is better the sub or dubb....
Can someone help me out please

Well, sub is always better if you ask me. Actually, I've never seen the dub.

If anything, I can say I was happy enough with the original voice acting, anyway.

I fell asleep when I watched the subbed version; it was like watching a Japanese live-action movie. I never heard the dubbing of this, but I heard the Ocean Group did a really good job with this one.

I've seen it in both. The Japanese is superior, for two regions:

1) Fuse sounds like an adult man instead of a nasal, whiny, teenager. This is the only truly weak point in the US acting; the English voices for incidental characters are usually better than the Japanese, but the lead character is an astonishing failure.

2) The English script introduces errors of implication, which some nitpickers like me read as errors of fact. At one point Honda is mentioned as having done some counterintelligence work for 'G-2' after the war. In the Japanese, this is pronounced correctly as "gee-two", where the English renders it as "geh-zwei". This is incorrect because G-2 is the intelligence arm of the United States Army, and has no business being spoken in German.

Oshii and Okiura did an admirable job of materially transitioning the story out of the Nazi-occupation universe of the Kerberos Panzer Cops original and into something much more closely resembling the real Japan of the late '50s and early '60s; the film does not need or deservethe step backwards.

I could go on literally all day on this subject, but this topic is about which language to watch Jin-Roh in, not about how certain translators are obvious morons.

That's REALLY ironic, you are the third person (which includes myself) that feel asleep watching this. Wonder what it means...

I didn't care for the movie either way so I guess my opinion doesn't count.....but it seemed to me the dubbed version was better.

Whichever you feel like. If you own it, watch it in both. Watch it in english, with english subtitles.

lol, the german dubbing is GREAT! 120% fine voicacting they did there. Too bad that the american dub is messed, but he... usually, it´s the german version that´s messed.

But the german dub has the advantage of the original translation of the subplot "redhooded maiden" "Rotkäppchen".... god, that movie ruled.

Special edition collectors DVD-BOX incl. OST, making of and specials, 80Euros, should I say more?

i say watch it both in jap and english dubs, because this is one of thoughs movies that your gona watch at least a second time in order to understand it properly

I wanted to get the most out of it the first time i watched it... so it does matter.

Imagine watching Akira first time with little childish voices, who aren't actors, would you enjoy it?
