Ok Neko. Im not just saying this as a HUGE trigun fan, Im saying this as someone who REALLY wants to see your dad get into anime or atleast accept it. Show him Trigun. Why?

A: Its HIGHLY philisophicol. And make sure he pays EXTRA atention to the episode previews (And if he gets antsy tell him to give it a chance till ATLEAST episode 15. They start getting more seriose there).

B: He's a preacher right? This might be a little touchy (He might be offended by the way woolfwood portrays preachers) But try to explain wolfwood the preacher to him.

C: He hates violence right? Tell him vashs motto "No one has the right to take the life of another" and "Love and piece".

D: No Sex. Well if you don't count the small thing with the girls in episode 1. No nudeity and nothing happens. Its just implied that thats whats next. Then vash comes along and ujses the ever famouse Boot-Knife.

Now the only things I see that might be hard for him to get by is the cursing, and the whole "Vash-Knives Uber Plant God" thing. If you wat Ill list specific eps that will give a GREAT impression to your dad.

I thought Spirited Away was a great movie. Princess Mononoke was a good movie too. (You probably want to start them on a movie, it'd be a different case for a friend) But, the best movie I think to show them is defiently Escaflowne. Especially if your dad is a pastor. (My whole family is Christian.)
