something for some goodnatured laughs!... i think lovehina is pretty funny... i was wondering about more stuff along those lines.[/u]

....There are many comedy anime out there.
If you like animes like Love Hina, you should try Ai Yori Aoshi (but I must warn you that this anime is SIGNIFICANTLY inferior to Love Hina.)
My recommendations would be FLCL, Kare Kano (this anime makes you think...), Azumanga Dao (Warning:this is a love it or hate it anime), Onegai Teacher (some moments are corny)

If you like ecchi fanservice comedy, you should rent 'Labyrinth of Flames' - it's about the funniest anime with breastshots I've ever seen, and the only one I actually bought. That says a lot. I've yet to find a fanservice comedy I'd bother watching twice, let alone one I'd purchase. ^_^;; It's actually great in the dubbed version as well. I cracked up the first time I saw it, but it holds good replay value as well.

Happy Lesson is funny.. it's about a high school dude that thought that he would be happy getting to live alone.. until 5 of his teachers decide to adopt him and be his moms..

Panyo Panyo Digi Charat.. i thought it was cute, and i just laughed because it seemed ridiculously... weird/funny (i think this one just got dubbed... since it was THIS month's newtype that came with the first episode for this) I wouldn't know how to compare this to the original Digi Charat.. i havn't seen that one yet

I've only seen three eps, but I know a lot of people really love Azumanga Daioh. And Shaman King has its serious moments, but is never what I'd call heavy-handed. If you don't want to have to think, though, I wouldn't recommend FLCL...
