Sure it has some qualities of DBZ (fighting with ki and fighting in general, but that's just about it) but it isn't really similar to DBZ in the story sense. I don't think there's a villian (known to me any way) that defeated everyone except for Yusuke.

then Yuske fights him gets fucked up, then when he's almost dead, he gets strenth out of his ass (because he supposedly didnt have any more strenth a second ago) and kills the bad guy.

The only time Yusuke "get's strength out of his ass" (from what CN has showed and from what I can remember) is when he's fighting Suzaku. But even then...

Too true - however, I never cared for the CN dub...I do enjoy Yusuke's "english attitude" though! The ONLY line that Kurama ever said in english that really I got a kick out of was: "And to think, someday they'll be in-laws..."

Of course I found the word "git" in the subtitles of DBZ: Lord Slug. The actual Funimation subtitles.

I thought I already listed the what DBZ and YYH share are differ at earlier.

I dunno.

Is it me or does Funimation pick great voices and 'fudge up' on the censorship?

I get tired of wine disguised as 'grape juice' etc.

Watching Cased Closed as I type this post.

Yusuke is evidently sharing a voice with some goon named Yaiba on Cased Closed.

This happens a lot, but I thought I would post this one as it just happened.

Since it was brought up - does anyone know off-hand which DBZ character Kurama's dub voice is? It reminded me of a number of CN-type anime characters, but the dbz one that came to mind was Shin. I don't know dub voice actors well enough to tell. Or if it's more than one dbz character he shares a voice with, which ones? And how about Hiei?

I don't care about their real names (the actors) since I wouldn't recognize them, just the names of the DBZ characters used for the YYH dub. I'm curious to see how the appearances/characterizations of the different characters match up (cross-anime wise) to the voices they reused for YYH.

I don't know about Kurama, but Hiei's voice is the same as Android 17. Then Yusuke voice actor is also the voice of older Dende (terrifying is it not:shock: )

Kuwabara as Vegeta? Ok, I don't even watch DBZ, but I have a hard time picturing that...

...Vegeta's just one of the main important fighting guys, right?
