I'm pretty sure Phade intended the opinions as something for the CREATOR of the amv, to get feedback and criticism and ultimately improve his skills. And that goal is better served if people write their review with no influence from other reviews. It's well-known that if you read a bunch of reviews of a given title before writing your own review, you will tend to re-use the arguments you just read instead of expressing your true initial impression. It's annoying for people who would like to read the reviews before downloading, but it's better for the creator this way.

While this is a valid point, People currently have the power to edit their comments, therefore a person can leave an op with next to nothing in it, go read the other opinions, and then fill in their op anyway. So same diff I guess...

Not really. If you read a lot of opinions before writing yours, you will do the things mentioned without being conscious of it. In other words, it's an innocent mistake.

There is a big difference between an innocent mistake and subverting the system.

Oh I wasn't trying to say that there isn't a literal difference, or moral difference, or whatever. I'm just saying that the *end results* are often the same.

I doubt the end results are the same. Few people actively subvert; many people would unknowingly be influenced if they saw the opinions before rating the video.

I want to read the opinions, but I really don't want to take the time it takes to write an opinion that already have over 600 glowing ones. It rocks, I think he knows that now.

A percentage sounds cool.
