first glimps of Inu Yasha...

Post by sumomo3g4 » Tue Jun 22, 2004 10:47 pm

At first i thought Inu Yasha was a girl when a friend first showed me the manga. I thought he was a cat and a girl, which is way wrong, and when i flipped through the pages i thought it would be to bloody a manga for me, but as i have bought more manga and DVDs, its my favorite anime! A clever blend of romance, action, suspence, mystory and legends all mixed in one. For those who are Inu Yasha fans, what did u think first picking up your copy of Inu Yasha for the very first time?

Its ok...... not great, but not bad. I enjoy it but its not one of my fav anime.

Also, there are so many episodes that the Box set will cost about $1000

i mean, they are on 180something (correct me if im wrong) and im sure they will keep on untill episode 250 or something.
Shitty sig... i should make another one >_<

Well I saw the anime before I picked up a copy of the manga. I knew he was some sort of dog, though I always thought Koga was a cat ^^;; I had a hard time believing he was a wolf especially when I did see him in the manga.

As for the box sets, well one's due out in september. Hopefully they'll bring the others out as well ^_^

I first thought Inu-Yasha was disgusting, considering I picked up Vol. 4 of the manga and fliped to the part where Hiten was eating his brother's heart. ^^;;;;

Then I saw some commericals for it on Adult Swim and decieded to watch it. I started with the second episode and loved it ever since. ^.^ Then I started buying the manga.

Then I saw Sesshomaru and thought he was a girl.

It wasn't until he appeared in the anime that I realized he was a guy. And I was like: WTF?

Needless to say, now Inu-Yasha is one of my favorite anime.

True. The manga is better than the anime (such is the case for many animes). I wish the anime would have elaborated a bit more when Inuyasha first human (not in his lifetime, but for the first time in the anime). The manga version of it was much more interesting (that's as far as I can go without spoiling).

Dog Ears

Never had the trouble of mistaking genders of characters, but that seems to be a common problem.

I kinda knew the story was an action/romance from the start.

I knew the word 'inu' meant dog so I guess that helped in identifing that he had dog ears, before Kagome says it.

Its good so keep watching/reading.

The very first thing I thought when I turned to Inu Yasha on CN was "Hey! Those two people have Hitmoi and Faulkin's voices!"

Other than that brilliant discovery the wpisode I watched didn't really interest me to much. They killed that hoard of unrushing demons...too easily.

Only the mindless minions go down easy.

And yeah a lot of characters share their voices.
