Disturbing Anime

Some scenes from Now & Then, Here & There are extremely disturbing, upsetting, etc. I know people that quit watching it because of that.

Pefect Blue has a few disturbing bits, and to a lesser degree, so do Blue Gender and Soul Taker

I've never seen an anime more disturbing than KITE .. and I've only seen the version with half of it edited out! The unedited version still has some edited scenes! Just way too .. . . .bloody . . .. . .and disturbing . .. . .

I was disappointed because the director of KITE (Yasuomi Umetsu) also did one of my favorite anime of all time -- the Presence segment of Robot Carnival...

Kite Director's Cut is... disturbing. That's all I gotta say. The scenes they cut were the sick and twisted gunpoint rape shit. It's like god damn... fucking sick people.

It always freaked me out in Vampire Princess Miyu when Miyu's cute little sidekick flashed it's right eye (it's usually covered by his/her ear). It's all yellow and bloodshot and shit.

However, that's definately not the MOST disturbing things I've seen in anime.
Boogiepop Phantom probably freaked me more than many anime series. In Episode 2 for instance, they had a guy who ate spiders. These spiders, however, were symbollic or bad memories.

Today I discovered yaoi Digimon manga.

*shudders*

The most disturbing anime I've seen would have to be Perfect Blue, very freaky movie.

Also, some a the episode of Yami no Matsuei, some of the episodes are very freaky.(Gory freaky..and that gay doctor Muraki freaks me out.

Silent Hill 2 - The entire story behind Angela and Eddie is just utterable depressing.. far more disturbing and thought-provoking than any anime I've ever seen.

Akira - Seeing as how SH2 isn't anime, I'll just put in the part where Tetsuo's girlfreind got her shirt ripped off and punched in the face. Jesus.

the most disturbing anime moment i find would be the fight at the beginning of samurai x , the kenshin movie, when kenshin sliced that old man in half or at least his head

lol kenshin is pretty bloody at the start...but it get even bloodyer (is that even a word) towards the end

3. Devilman- The birth of a demon (or something like that) Seeing Ryo stab that girl in the tit with the broken beer bottle and pulling it out, spilling blood and beer mixed together...

i agree thats probably one of the more disturbing anime scenes...

another is in 'X' (not samuri X) when that guys mother is crucified with all this 'cheese-cutting-wire' lashed around her and then some guy pulls the cord tawt and she gets all cut and falls apart....
