Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Inn3rchild-
your lucky to have premiere really.....it is a bastard of a program, its complex at first sight and theres lots of tricky things....but i believe it is the ultimate AMV creation software!
but there are some links within the forums here that show you how to use lots of effects for adobe premiere, if you want i could try to find the site and post a link here, i found it very useful, cause most of those effects i used (like rewind/opacity controls and all that stuff) i just learned from watching video tutorials.
and if you need any help or advice im here to help a fellow amv creator(even if i am just a newbie at the moment...one day...i will rule the world HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!)

welldone for a first video. you hit most of the beats on the scene changes, wich made it feel smother overall. Pretty good story telling aswell. The only quams I realy had with it had to do with actuall quality than with editing. You do alot of switching between 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratio, is this intentional? it feels a little odd in some places. generally its a good idea to stick to 1 aspect ration and use that throught. Also, It apears you edited the footage as interlaced, which isn't a problem, until you start resizing clips. Interlacing artifacts are very noticable in the clips that you altered, as in speed up and slowed down, and zoomed in/out on. (i'm guessing this is what you did on these) Read the All things Video and Audio guide on the interlacing part for an explanation why this happens, and why its generally a good idea to deinterlace your source before you edit. Just something to think about on your next one. The filesize is also quite big for the quality of the video.

Again nice video, and nice first effort, I enjoyed it. Just work more on the quality issues. I suggest Just read through the guides, and use them as a guideline for compression and preperation to get better results from your DVD rips for your next project. Don't worry, just about everyone has these problems when they first start, unless they found the guides beforehand, or already experienced at encoding.
