How do you make voice pitch higher?

Post by ArtingtonInc » Sun Jul 11, 2004 1:08 pm

Situation: You take a microphone, talk some junk into it, and now how to you speed up, slow down, make voice pitch higher or whatever w/o having to spend a dime?....or anything at all?

Windows comes with a sound recorder that allows you to Increase or Decrease the speed by 25%. Try looking for a downloadable one if you don't already have it.

Another free sound editor that can do it is WavePad, nice little program.
Find it here www.nch.com.au/wavepad
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

I'm surprised no one mentioned helium yet

If you have the Nero CD writer software, check out it's sub apps. I've got one called Nero Wave Editor (of course(!)).

It's pretty simple, has some nice EQ, noise reduction and such tools. You aren't limited to 60 secs of recording like soundrecorder (hit start, then run and type sndrec32 and press enter)

Got transposing and time correction, worth a look into, but not worth buying the software for (if you only buy it for the audio app, the Nero CD writer software is great, I recommend it).

The helium, as sarcastic as it was sounded, is actually a good idea, "if" you know where to get it from :?

Hey! Listen out for special occasions and steal the balloons
