And..Like that's about it..But mostly, 'cause you can't find much anime around here, you have to go to a book store in another town to fine manga's.. (God Forbid Reading.) And..Like..The Shows aren't very many. I had to buy some Fruits Basket DVD's 'cause I wanna see that..And We don't have it. They took away Sailor Moon, and We Have Adult Swim Which is Our biggest sorce of anime. v.v;

I think I am one of very few in this area that buy the manga from Waldenbooks, as for anime, order it online.

In the small town that I live in, there aren't any anime stores or many big stores for that matter. But at my school, wow, there's a whole bunch of people who know at least one title of anime, Trigun being the most popular in rankings.

The city I live in now with a population of about 115,000 does not have (to my general knowledge) much of an interest in anime. I judge this for the fact that I have lived here for most of my life and I have known a lot of people in this town for a long time. A few of my friends will come over about once a month or so and watch some anime with me when I pick up some thing new but they do not purchase it themselves and really would not watch it at all if I was not around to show it to them. I have one exception to that - my evil twin is as obsessed with anime as I am, so at least I have ONE person to share with!
I also notice that the stores around here do not carry a large selection of anime either I purchase almost everything online. I find that Borders has a small manga section and the Barnes and Noble we have (about 20 miles away) has a single spinner with about 20 titles of manga.
To sum it up I live in a "small town" type community composed of the "newly wed or the newly dead" - local joke around here with the younger crowd. We really don't have much to speak of when it comes to game stores (a few video game stores in the mall) but other than that there is not much here. We only have 1 "comic book" store and it is pathetically small and caters to the hardcore warhammer groups and that is about all they carry.
So if there is much of an intrest at all it must be comprised of a bunch of people who pretty much keep to themselves about it and order online like I do. So this is about the only outlet I have to talk to others about anime.
I will be moving to Gainesville in July so I do hope that UF has a healthy anime population that I can get involved in!

I'm not sure about Rochester proper, but I am a college student in a techie school, in other words, ANIME CENTRAL! Plus game central, party central, computer central. . .
