I too get the same feeling, but with me its when I'm watching almost any anime that I really like.
Nothing good ever comes from staying with normal people.

One of the things I love about anime is that vary creative artistic way of refering to something without actually potraying it. It makes you use your imagination.

in response to your question, Ari-chan, you may notice it in volume 14, the part titled "Let's go to the hot." First Soun imagines Ranma and Akane alone in a room, they touch hands, and then it shows the flower fall while they say "Akane..." and "Ranma!" Then Ryoga imagines the exact same thing, except it's him. The flower-fall was also in another one, but I forget which volume. Nabiki says to Kuno about girl-Ranma and boy-Ranma, "Her body, Her soul, all his." Kuno then imagines she means Ranma "uses" the pigtailed girl, and has a scene act out in his mind, and at one point the flower falls. as EXODO said, it only occurs in people's thoughts/dreams, so it didn't actually happen.

Hey can you help me? There's this girl on my avatar from Ranma, right? She's in this old video game(which is where the avatar is from) but I haven't seen her in the manga. Does she appear in it? When? Also the black haired girl in the sweater who can change age, the same question.

The girl in the video game probably won't be found in the manga. Most times, when a video game is made using characters from a popular anime/manga series, sometimes the game developers like to add in their own characters just for the heck of it. As far as the other girl, don't know her name, but I know who you're thinking of. I hear she shows up way late into the series.

In this case, the girl in your avatar appears in both the manga and anime. Her name is Konjou Mariko, and she does Martial Arts Cheerleading.

No clue on the black haired girl though.

The girl in your avatar is named Mariko. She's a martial-arts cheerleader, and first shows up in volume 19 of the manga (I'm going by the volume numbers they're released under in the U.S.). And the other girl you're referring to (who changes age) is named Hinako and first appears in volume 25 of the manga. Hope that helps.

It has come to my attention that there are 38 graphic novels of ranma 1/2 out there. However, from what I hear some haven't been released here. What I want to know is 1)how many exist in the U.S.(printed by Viz) and 2)does the series officially end with volume 38?

Currently, 26 novles have been released here. The series ended in japan sometime ago, so no new novles have been made. It should end with 38 but I'm not sure.
