I tried to make a midi of Nobuo Uematsu's Phantom Forest theme from FF VI but it sucked and I gave up on it.

yea i play the piano & guitar...& i love playing themes from animes & final fantasy...my favourites to play are probably evangelion's 'angel's cruel thesis' & ffVII 'one winged angel' (both on the pianio) i can play alot more themes other than these....i usually play to my freinds in music shops hoping that some one in the public might recognise it & praise me....but usually its just the praising & not recognition...ive performed in school concerts a few times & my best performance was probably 'get along' from the slayers intro where i played the electric guitar ('',)

Heh....well take a look at this.
My MetroCon Anime Idol Group
Me In Action
(I'm Naota, the one with the red guitar if you didn't know)
If you want to see all of the pictures of our group, just click on "thumbnails" near the top of the picture, select the third picture from the left on the top row, and just keep pressing "nexvious".
I summed it up in my LiveJournal:
I edited the LJ post a little, too. I didn't know what to do about names. I also added more info that I left out.

*UPDATE* Well, I saw videos of us, and I didn't do as good as I thought I did.LiveJournal wrote:"After that, our whole group of, like, 10 people started rehearsing for the J-rock Idol thing. A----- (name) chose to sing Ride on Shooting Star by The Pillows. I, of course, was going to be playing guitar. Her sister was gonna be playing "drums" using two paint brushes. The others were gonna be the back-up dancers. They thought of the most hilarious/well known dance moves (the sprinkler, the "Carlton" whatever that is, the M Jackson "Thriller" pose, the robot, the Macarena, etc.). All the other groups were kind of quietly talking amongst themselves sitting down. We were the loudest, standing up, dancing, luaghing, etc. Anyways, we found out that we were the last ones to perform. What a way to let the tension build. Some of the preformances sucked, some of em were good. We had, like, 5 groups in front of us and the officials called a break. We were like ugh. After a while, we got back in. They called our group name and the "back-up dancers" rushed on stage. Me, A-----, and her sister slowly walked up on stage.
...DOOMCON STRIKES! The MP3 of the song didn't work! We were pacing on-stage. Eventaully, they played Conjunction Junction! CONJUNCTION JUNCTION FOR GOD'S SAKE! To say the least, we were NOT prepared to sing along to THAT! After that, though, they finally found a good version of Ride on Shooting Star. Since I know how to play that song on my guitar, I made it look like I was actually playing the song and not just faking it. I was paying attention to my guitar playing and I didn't get to see all the moves the dancers did. We thought we were gonna win some award for sure. We had the most energetic song. We (probably) had the funniest performance. What did we get? NOTHING! NOT EVEN A RUNNER-UP! WE GOT SCREWED OVER!
