OK, I'll take a dig at this one.
Will wait on confirmation...if you want a start on the question, dust off your Daa! Daa! Daa! fansubs.

In Bastard, many of the names of people, places, and spells are named after metal groups. Now, Arshes uses one spell that is named not for a group (at least not originally) but for a scientist. Who is it/what is the name of the spell? (they're the same)

awright, leaving work in a few minutes, so here's the question. If I turn out to have screwed up the above, it's not valid, and Kalium's two questions are still in play.
In the course of the first episode of Daa! Daa! Daa!, middle schoolers Miyu and Kanata move in together without adult supervision and take custody of a little baby named Ruu. As if taking care of a normal baby wasn't hard enough, Ruu is decidedly NOT a normal baby.
Name at least two troublesome things that Ruu can do which normal babies can't. As usual, if you're sure of your answer, go ahead and post a new question.

Well, that question was unproductive.
It'll still stand, but here's a new one with some shows that people will actually have seen.
In the late 1980s and into the early 1990s, Kamiya Akira voiced essentially the same character on two unrelated anime series that ran for a combined 220 episodes. Name the two shows, and for extra points, the characters that he played in each.
Bonus clue: both anime were adapted from manga that were more or less the second major works of their respective creators, both of whom have long-running adaptations of one of their popular works on the air in Japan right now.

You've got half the answer; I'm looking for a different series in which Kamiya plays practically the same character as his Mitaka role. Saeba is close enough temperamentally, but the character's role in the script is an even closer match.CliffD wrote:Maison Ikkoku and City Hunter? And I wasn't aware that Hojo had anything adapted for TV at present...if this is the case, I may let this one through.

Well, it's been over forty-eight, so here comes another question to get the thread moving again.
Memories question. Specifically, the episode titled Stink Bomb.
A good amount of this episode takes place in what can best be described as the War Room (NOTE: I don't know if that's its actual name. However, with all of the SDF officers in place, the high-level officials at the adjacent conference table, the giant computer displays on the wall -- What would YOU call it? It's the sort of place you would have expected to see George C. Scott in an Air Force uniform, carrying an offical binder titled World Target in Megadeaths. Or one of the giant displays to type out GREETINGS PROFESSOR FALKEN.)
Whoa, that was a long detour. Anyhoo, getting INTO the War Room isn't easy. It's accessible from an elevator in Defense Ministry; however, it requires a special ID card, to open a panel and reveal a hidden button marked . . . What? . . . to get to the War Room.
The Question: What was the marking on that hidden elevator button, to get to the War Room?
Extra Points if you can name the two films I referenced in the above 'detour.' (No, you won't get the thread -- you need to answer the anime question above for THAT)
