Naruto Is NOTHING like DBZ, DBZ sucks Ass compared to naruto. naruto is about a kid named naruto that has a Extremely powerful Demon Fox sealed inside him, everyone in the village hates him, so he wants to prove himself and gain recognition as the most powerful ninja in his village.

See?, Nothing like DBZ.

Yeah and Naruto has spikey blonde hair where Goku has ...... oh wait....

Well anyway, Naruto has that cool orange with blue suit where Goku has....dammit....

Well Naruto has lots of fighting in it, and Dragonball.........hmmm.....

Yeah but anyway, still *nothing* like DBZ.

Am I the only person who likes Naruto because its like DBZ? Both have good martial arts action, and characters I care about. Nuff said.

so what, just because hes a fucking blonde that fights doesnt automatically mean hes fucking goku, in dragonball z they use corny energy beams, where naruto uses hand to hand combat ONLY. dragonball z my ass.. who ever said it would be the next dragonball z anyways???

the battles arent that drawn out, at least its not as drawn out as the stupid energy beam battle between gohan and cell, oh wow, its a cheesy ass energy beam fight, lets make it last 5 episodes, I mean MY GOD NAC IT GET ANY MORE STUPIDER THAT IT ALREADY IS!!?? naruto usually has a strange plot twist, and no super fast cheesy punches, or cheesy ass energy attakcs, just fire, water, earth and other elements, and it requires life energy that will kill you if you use it all to peroform the attacks. in some ways it is dbzish, but mostly, it isnt, who cares if goku and naruto are both blonde, just because narutos, blonde that doesnt mean its another dbz anime!!

Naruto is basically the only decent anime out now...

people that try to degrade naruto by comparing it to dbz are just plain ignorant. Naruto does everything DBZ did but actually makes it work. Yes it has intense fight scenes, but it also has a coherent plot and detailed story. Round characters with their own individual personalities and motivations, they aren't all cookie cutter karate-guys like in DBZ.

My two cents of naruto is that it is really a great anime series.. it has a lot of character growth, action and a lil bit of romance u can sort of say. But u gots to see it to judge for ur self ... in my opinion, it is really a nice anime ..

I don't know why people like to compare Naruto to DBZ. Naruto and DBZ don't really seem the same at all, unless you take the fact that theres a lot of fighting like DBZ, and yes chakra is like ki from DBZ. There are certain elements that the creator took from DBZ but it's not a complete rip off or anything, and I'm not sure why some of you continue to say it is. Oh and also the series is very long like DBZ, guess that makes it a replica of DBZ as well. And If you haven't seen much of Naruto, only had a few glances of it, heard some rumors of it being just like DBZ, saw Toushi and interpreted it as just some action series, and then decided it sucks, then you're definitely misleading yourself.

as i always do, i make another recommendation. another show, sort of a brother show to naruto, in their similarity, and as the other side of the shonen anime popular series right now, is One Piece. fights are shorter, gags are funnier, more character backstory, and it moves a bit faster storywise. however, its weirder.

I mean come on man. One piece is way better than naruto in every aspect. The characters are lovable, the plot is very thick, the animation is great. You can't comparethe two of them just because they both are action oriented........
